Modified Fishfinder rack
I have two kayaks and made two fishfinder boxes using this product. I attach a stand to the box and then have the battery and finder together on one box. It takes a little time to build the box, but they cleverly created some precut hole marks so you can attach the fishfinder, with an additional part, to add the the top piece. I bought another piece on Amazon that you can fit to this box and allow twist and turn fishfinder ability. Much easier monkeying with a battery when it is right in this box next to you vs in the bow of your kayak. Also power cord is self contained in box for fishfinder vs routing it to bow.

Perfect
The media could not be loaded. Love it. It's perfect for my needs. I didn't want to cut an access port into my kayak so I researched ways to store the battery and stumbled across this. The only thing is it doesn't come with a rail. The rail is purchased separately and has to be at least 10.5 inches. I got a 12 inch and cut it down to fit where I needed it. Easy to put together and has notches for the wiring. Sliding door gives you access to the battery. Has great retention. Won't open accidently. Buy a ram mount and it will make it very versatile.

Good, but...
Let’s start with the good. It’s very heavy duty, straight forward assembly, easy to apply/remove, convenient FF/transducer cord management. The bad. It’s expensive, it’s not water tight, it feels bulky & It’s very heavy for a plastic box. If you add the battery, switchblade transducer arm, fish finder mount & fish finder your talking easily 8lbs hanging on one side of your kayak. That uneven weight distribution could be the difference between tipping & staying upright. I like the idea of this unit in terms of convenience but I think it’s not practical for most kayaks.

Great product requiring careful planning when installing
The instructions were a bit vague but carefully inspecting the parts list and doing some test assembly helped me sort it out. There are two pieces to the arm and I was able to use the option to only have one so my rig seemed very sturdy. I have installed the cellblok with the transceiver arm so there is a bit a planning needed to be sure that you get want you want and you optimize space.Had it out on the water this past weekend and it worked like a charm.
