Dr. Slick Hat Keeper

We have an older convertible car and keeping a hat on is a challenge. Now I don't have to worry about losing my cap. Works great!

My trusty, old hat keeper, (two alligator clips and a connecting cord), held up for almost forty years. Saved numerous baseball hats from a cold, sad, wet fate while fishing or sailing. Bought it at a boating supply shop up in City Island, The Bahamas of the Bronx. Now rusty, stiff and not able to lock down tightly on either a hat or t-shirt, this one looked like a likely replacement on the amazon website, so I ordered it. It works fine, but the $11. price tag was definitely too high for what they actually offer you; two small metal clips and a cord. I'll write you guys again in another forty years to let you know if this one holds up as long as my first, original one.

i like to wear a baseball cap when i ride my bike. however, i have lost alot of hats over the years. what makes this item better than others are 2 things.1. real, strong alligator clips. These things do not let go of your hat.2. the length. It is long enough to make a chin strap. (most other brands are not).it is not only long enough, but the length is exactly what is required to wear it under your chin.Love it. no more lost hats on the freeway.

I've ordered these three times now. They make excellent gifts. Very strong, well sized alligator clips which grip securely. Stainless steel, and well suited to salt water environments.

Liked it but it broke. Bought a second one. Hoping it lasts longer.

I bought this for a three week trip to the Galapagos- all on the boat. The wind was serious and so was this clip! It held up on daily zodiac trips as well. It is really two alligator clips on a string but works well. I clipped one end to my hat and the other to my backpack. My long hair did get stuck in the clip a few times on windy days, but better than losing your hat under the equatorial sun!

This thing is a joke. It’s so short that maybe a child could use it. Plus the BIG label is in the front and it does not adjust. Ridiculous price for this useless thing.

Keeps your headwear from blowing away. I’ve used them for many years sailing in strong winds and never lost my favorite cap (now 22 years old).
