My house has three wires from panel, black (hot), white (neutral) and ground. The bulb has 3 wires, black (hot to bulb), white (neutral) and ground. With simple switch, the black (hot) from panel and black (hot to bulb) are connected to the two separate points in the switch. The neutrals are directly connected together and the ground wire goes to the switch ground. This Motion Sensor switch comes with four wires, black (hot), red (load), white and green. When replacing a simple switch, connect the switch black to black (hot from panel), switch red to the black (hot to bulb - load), white to the white (neutral) and green to the ground. I installed this two days back, and the Motion Sensor Switch works like a charm. These are affected by pressure changes. If someone closes a door in another room, the light treats that as motion. 2. Lights turn off while occupied. If you are working in the room, it does not seem to care about additional motion until its timer expires and then if there is no motion it turns off. You could be moving a lot but at the time the timer expires if you don't move, the light turns off. 3.
