Within a minute or two, I was streaming music from my phone like the SoundDock had Bluetooth built in from day one. Sound quality is surprisingly solid. I was a bit worried there’d be some noticeable drop compared to a wired connection, but for everyday listening, it’s more than good enough. Music sounds full and clear, and I didn’t notice any weird compression artifacts or lag. It handles both music and podcasts well, and even videos stayed in sync without obvious delay. Worked first time good sound quality. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great update to old speakers *by S***. on 26 July 2025* I have an old Philips portable speaker which is excellent in terms of the sound quality and bass it produces, so good I don’t want to get rid of it. However it had the old 30 pin Apple connector on it. Previously I had been able to use a converter to the Lightning socket with older iPhones but it still meant you had to get up and change your songs when you wanted to. This is a fabulous device as it simply links your iPhone via Bluetooth. On testing if worked first time and I was rattling off some 80’s hits in no time.
