Gee's Bend

This 67 page book was not usable for my purpose.It's the script for a play to be performed.I was able to find another book on Amazon that did illustrate some of the Gee's Bend's quilts in full color, with the history of the quilters as well....which is what I was looking for.Unsure if the product description for this volume was clear.If so, I missed it.

I had the opportunity to see and visit with some of the women from Gee's Bend when I was in Illinois earlier this spring. After meeting them and seeing their work, I felt like their books would be an incredible addition to my personal library. I wish I'd had these books before I met them. A friend of mine had one of their books, and the women were thrilled to look through the book with her and sign the pages with quilts made by their family members.

I picked the book up and expexted to just read a few pages before bed, but the story was sooooo captivating that I did not go to bed till it was finished.And then I read it again a few days later.It is a def must buy and if you love american theatre, you will be happy to have it among the plays in your collection.

I bought this product for the reference to Gee’s Bend but the result was disappointingly slender.

Didn't realize it was script for a play.
