With his unwavering optimism and refusal to let his disabilities hold him back, Forrest inspires people. Forrest's troubled childhood sweetheart Jenny is the person he cares about the most, yet she could be the hardest to save.This is one of those films that I could watch repeatedly. It has certain elements that I like and some that bother me. Although Jenny plays a significant role in the movie, I find it concerning that the only time she gave Forest a chance, was when she was already dying.It is interesting to watch this unassuming man navigate some of the most challenging periods in American history. Sometimes it's humorous, and other times it's plain sad.
