Full suspension trail bikes don't need to reinvent the wheel to work well. The simple, understated single pivot design of the Taros uses sealed cartridge bearings to deliver smooth, durable performance, and 120mm of suspension travel will take the edge off all but the biggest roots and rocks on the trail. The frame is built using trusted 6061-t6 aluminum alloy, so you know it's strong, and the formed and butted tubing makes sure to save weight wherever possible. With quick and stable 27.5 inch wheels, a SRAM 1x9 drivetrain, and aggressive Kendal tires, you'll have fun every time you head out on the trails.

Great Bike
Bike is awesome! Handles well, and feels sturdy. I'm not sure how these other reviewers can say it weighs alot. At about 32lbs it's almost 20lbs lighter than the fat bike I use to ride everywhere. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because it came with a bent derailleur hanger. Other than that it's an awesome beginner trail bike.

Great base bike for upgrades
Great base bike. I purchased it because of the relatively low cost, but upgraded it. It was more cost effective that way. I got rid of the fork and got a rockshox yari fork. Upgraded the rear shock with a dnm ar40rc. Replaced the grips and saddle with ergon and added a ks lev Integra dropper post. I would recommend this bike if you are looking to customize and "make it your own". The bike rides really well even against some of the higher end bikes that I have demoed. It's a great buy and gives you the opportunity to upgrade as your finances allow - like me since I'm on a budget.

Great bike for the price
For the people that say the bike is too heavy, it's a fully suspended $1000 bike!!! What did you expect? If you want a light bike with the best components spend the $2000-$5000 that it costs to do so. I have an old Diamondback rigid frame that still rocks. This bike is great for the money. Very tunable, good geometry, and acceptable components. Took around a half an hour to put it together and another half hour to fine tune. You will have to tune to your weight and riding abilities but that's easily done. As one reviewer said it's also a great base for upgrades. The handling is good out-of-box once you dial it in but more aggressive riders will want to possibly upgrade forks or rear shock. I play with the suspension setups depending on where I ride and for a bike this inexpensive I've found most times I find a good mix. The frame is bulletproof just like my old rigid framed Diamondback. Clearly people who have gotten bikes with broken or bent components had shipping issues. That's not the bike or Diamondback's problem. That's a shipping problem. Mine came with a stapled together box that was damaged and clearly was FedEx's shipping error but the bike was not damaged. The only thing I'm going to do now is exchange seats with my hard tail since I have a nice high end light gel seat on that bike. If/when I wear components out the frame is good enough to upgrade the components if I feel like it. I definitely recommend this bike for the money.

Not happy. I agree with another with other review
Not happy. I agree with another with other review. This thing is too heavy. I regret buying it. The only two thing I like about this is the rear shock and color. Gonna see if I can return it. I had it shipped to a local bike shop so I don't have the box.Update:I decided to give the bike a chance. So I switched out the tires. I removed the roller too. It feels weird having it. I feel the need to change gears constantly. I wish the crankset was bigger.
