I got it to go with my nice mattress cover. Both together it decent. No it doesn't help my pain very much. I am sick. I have a disease that has chronic pain, and there is no beddi g that eases it. It can be a little more comfortable. So with this and my new mattress pad, my new mattress is more comfortable. It's worth what I paid for it. It's under my nice mattress pad. As there were no other choices listed, I couldn't possibly have accidentally picked a different topper. I am disappointed, to say the least. The foam I received is okay and makes it so you cannot feel the springs in my older mattress, but it only adds another layer of firmness, even with the cushy mattress pad. To shrink this down into the packaging again to return it would be impossible.
