It's quiet like it should be and it moves pellets like it should. Be mindful of the direction of rotation when you order but it's easily reversible if you know how to turn a wrench at all. If you own a pellet stove of any brand, you know exactly what I mean. They need maintenance and repairs occasionally. Review: Motor seems to work fine, i will put it on the shelf for ... - I just received this motor on 1/26/16, within 20 minutes of receiving it i was able to reverse the spin, put it back together and test functionality. Motor seems to work fine, i will put it on the shelf for the day when my originals go bad. I ordered this due to my desperation with my original motor quitting 5 days before the snow storm and a that just clobbered east coast. The original started working again, so this will be my stand-by. UPDATE: 10.12.2016 Original Motor gave up the ghost last night on my primary auger in my englander stove (about 4.5 years) . I pulled this one off the shelf and had it installed in about 30 minutes. At first it didn't function in the stove. so i pulled it out and plugged it directly to AC on my workbench. It started to spin, so i took it back upstairs and re-installed on stove and it worked as expected. It does seem to be slightly noisier than the original.. Stove ran all night with no issues. Hopefully i get similar life our of this motor.

What a wonderful waste of time...
Should have listened to the negative reviews... I have fiddled with my Englander pellet stove enough times now that replacing an auger motor should take 15 minutes. This took 3 hours. First of all, after getting the motor set in place, it turned until it wedged itself between the top and bottom motor shelves (only took 5 seconds for that to happen). So I figured it's backward, so I'll follow the directions to flip it. Despite the directions mislabeling parts I was able to figure out this simple chore. Put the motor back in place. Same deal. It turned in the SAME direction and got wedged. So I thought maybe I was dumb and didn't actually flip the magnet directed to flip. So I did it again. This time it would not turn at all, the pellet stove power cut out suddenly, and I'm pretty sure the fuser is blown. I was really hoping to have this stove running for freezing temps over the weekend (in the middle of April). I got a fuse, fired it up, and same thing. It would turn for a bit and then get stuck. In troubleshooting I had to turn the bottom auger manually to get the motor piston back in place, but it wouldn't turn. I realized that it dropped pellets to the lower part, that had been spinning in reverse, and created a nightmare of a problem that could have been avoided if this product came with some directions or warnings. Even a simple label on the motor forward and backward would have helped. I don't know what direction the motor spins in, but it was opposite of my Englander and caused a 5.5 hour project. Things are working now, but I stand by my score.

warm again!!!
The Electrical motor had to be flip over so the unit was turning in the correct direction but it was easy to do and took little time. It fit perfectly and works perfectly. Very Happy with it
