A Good Value - Prices for Pennies are Going Up
This was a good deal. I got about 23 pennies I needed for about $1.00 each which was the price dealers were charging for wheat pennies two years ago. I noticed prices on line are way up for pennies (even the newer ones) now that they are not making pennies at the mint anymore. This is also the country's 250th anniversary and so prices may go higher. These coins were in good condition for being 80 years old. I got 2 greenish ones - not bad. I got wheat pennies mostly from years 1940 to 1958. They were mostly from years and mints that had a high number manufactured. I got 6 pennies from 1930's, 1 from 1920. Everything else was 1940's and 1950's most with no mint mark or a D mint. I got 8 with an S mint mark. I also got a 1943 D Steel Penny. I included a picture. The pennies on the black bag are 1930's, first row on left is 1940's (top 1940 to 1949 bottom) and the row on the right 1950's (top 1950 , bottom 1959) . The ones on the top left are pennies I don't need. Good Luck with your purchase. Getting pennies at a good price keeps collecting fun!

Small bag but still entertaining
I bought this for fun. I had never seen a steel penny before and found one in the bag. The pennies I received ranged from 1940 to 1958. Of course it had more of the 1956-1958 since those would have survived circulation versus the pennies 10+ yrs earlier. It was for entertainment purposes for me and not a get rich opportunity as these are circulated and not in mint condition. If you are purchasing with this in mind and as long as the price is still reasonable, being the pennies only add up to about $1.48, this is a nice amusement.

Not worth the money
Most of the pennies were from 1940 -1950’s, About 10 were pretty bad. Could not even see the dates on them.

That’s IK!! I’ll just post it on all Social Media sites!!
I ordered one (1) pound of assorted unsearched wheat pennies/cents and it seemed like it took forever before I received my package!! Well, I got the package last night!! 148 COINS, this is what l received:: QUANTITY: DATE: MINT: 45 1942 NONE 20 1955 NONE 40 1941 NONE 22 1945 NONE 1 1956 NONE 17 1955 D 1 1941 D 1 1953 D 1 1943 NONE STEEL CENT WELL, THAT’S 148 COINS!! OUT OF 148, THERE IS A TOTAL OF 19 COINS WITH THE D MINT MARKS AND 129 WITH NO MINT MARKS!! Figure the odds of these numbers out of a lot of 148!!

Better Value for Those Starting a Collection ...
Let's just say it up-front: There is a degree of risk when purchasing collectible items in bulk if you are looking for specific items. The likelihood of finding the "Holy Grail" you are looking-for is slim to none. With that being said, I don't see purchasing this bag of wheat pennies any different than buying packs of football/baseball cards or Wacky Packages when I was a kid in the 70s ... you're going to get duplicates. I understood the risk involved with paying more than $1.48 for 148 pennies. I jumped into the rabbit hole of collecting coins when I discovered a roll of wheat pennies that I exchanged for $0.50 at the bank I worked at almost 30 years ago. After getting the coin books for those wheat pennies, the empty coin slots sparked a desire to try and fill the books ... bringing me back to my childhood days of collecting those sports cards and Wacky Packages. The whole risk/reward exhilaration of collecting cards, coins, stamps, etc. could probably be considering a form of gambling. I took a chance on this bag of wheat pennies and can't really complain about what I received. Of the 148 pennies, I was able to find 10 pennies missing from my collection. To me, this one-time purchase was worthwhile and justifiable (cost-wise) as I could have spent months (even years) exchanging rolls with my local bank/credit union trying to find a few of these pennies (based on my experience with the recent state and National Park quarters). With that being said, I have quite a few gaps in my collection to fill, so purchasing this bag ended up being worthwhile. What did I get? Well, I was able to get several San Francisco mint pennies, which really helped ... they, by far, dominate the empty slots in my collection books. I also received a handful of pennies from 1910s/20s/30s. Yes, I did receive several duplicates ... 1944, 1948, 1952-D and 1958 were very popular in the bag I received. The two stainless steel 1943 pennies were so clean, they looked as they had never been touched and I don't know if I should be skeptical as to their authenticity. Honestly, I cannot vouch for the veracity of these coins being "unsearched" ... especially when they advertise a 1909 wheat penny on the advertisement. Selling a bag of pennies at roughly 14x their face value hints that a "Holy Grail" 1909 penny will not be a likely find. There is nothing that can prove the claim that supports the coins as being "unsearched", unfiltered, etc. I found this bag of pennies best suited for those just starting a penny collection or maybe those who want to find "cleaner" versions of pennies they already have. It was a one-time purchase for me as I feel the risk/reward factor would likely increase with each additional purchase.

Nice collection of copper wheat pennies
Exactly what I wanted. Came in a nice little jewelry bag. Added to my collection. Took a brief look and saw dates going all the way to 35.

Not worth the price.
The "Unsearched" statement is obviously false. I got 2 lbs ...the first one had 3 coins older than 1940 but their condition was garbage. The second set only had 2 coins older than 1940. The overall condition was also horrible with a lot of damage to the pennies. If you are just getting into collecting, this may be good for you...otherwise it is a waste of money.
