Wonder Paperback – 8 May 2013

It is a little bit sad but it shows how cruel the world can be,it is easy to read,my favourite book it's about a boy who has a very different face he has one eye he has one ear a lot lower than the other and it's about his first year at a real school [Beecher prep]and the rocky road path he travel's on in his story.I recommend it to kids 10-11 year's old.

Wonder is a beautifully wqritten book, unsentimental but exploring how it feels to be seen differently by others to how you are as a person inside.Every prospective teacher, every teacher should perhaps read this to get an insight into what being a student can feel like. It could be a set book for English/social studies groups too.

Libro stupendo, commovente, delicato e potente. Consigliato per tutte le età, dai 9 ai 99 anni. 10 stelle su 5!

I am 9 years old and i have read wonder. Warning this review may contain spoilers. August is a boy with a rare facial deformity. He had got homeschoold by his mother all his life. When he was drivung back from his best friend Christophers house and he hears his parents talking about making him go to school. His Mum thinks he should go in fifth grade because it was the first year of middle school and everyone would be new. I the end he does go to school and alot of the people bully him becase of his face. Only a girl namedd summer went to sit at his lunch table and from then on that was called the summer lunch table becuse august is in summer nd that is their names. at the end the beecher prep fifth graders go on a nature reserve trip and auggie and his other friend Jack will go in the woods and some seventh graders start to be mean to them and some of the boys tjat had been bullying auggie stand up for him and Jack.

Tra il libro e il film non saprei scegliere, meravigliosi entrambi. Libro stupendo sotto ogni aspetto, da leggere in tutte le scuole.

Lo esperado

Coinvolgente, emozionante. Non posso aggiungere altro. Una storia straordinaria che mette in evidenza tutte le sfaccettature del bullismo. Le difficoltà iniziali, le preoccupazioni. E poi la rinascita, la consapevolezza di avere sbagliato. Ed il sollievo finale.

My seven year old son loved this book. He said “it made my mom cry” and said that he learned people should be nicer than they usually are. I highly recommend it.

bellissimo, toccante in tutti i suoi capitoli, ben scritto, molto efficace l'idea di mostrare anche il punto di vista di ciascun personaggio, libro ideale anche per adolescenti, lo consiglio a tutti
