Received good, solid copper 18 AWG 16/30 spool
Good wire. Solid copper. There is a small distinction between what the page claims you get and the actual spool: The label on the spool says 16 strands -- not 19 strands as this page claims -- and there are indeed only 16 strands. But the strand diameter (measured with my calipers is ~0.25mm), which would make it 30 AWG; 16/30 or 19/31 would both give total copper cross section of 18 AWG, so, tomayto/tomahto. The total bundle diameter is ~1.25 mm, which is in the right neighborhood for 18 AWG so it passes my sanity-check QC.

Cheap fix for a bad sprinkler zone
For a couple of years, one of my sprinkler zones has been inoperative. After trying different things to trouble shoot and repair it, I finally concluded that the conductor wire to that zone had gone bad. It was a long run from that sprinkler valve back to my control panel, so I needed a long spool of wire to make the connection. This wire was the right gauge and the 100 foot spool at this price finally made for a cost effective repair that got my wayward zone back up and running. It's been several months now and this zone continues to work well.

Simple Hook Up Wire
Bought this wire for a repair on a reverse camera that was installed by a friend of mine when his installation came apart for some reason. The wire is good and multi-stranded, it has held up for several hundred miles now with no problems. You do get a lot of wire for the money so you will have plenty for your project. I just wish they sold this in a 2 pack with black colored sheathing so that I could easily differentiate the ground from the positive, but that was overcome with a simple bit of marker or a tiny bit of electrical tape around the ground wire for identification. Decent value for a decent amount of a decent product.

You won't do better than this deal.
First off, just going to say it outright, I'm calling B.S. on the previous review stating that this wire is only copper clad aluminum rather than the advertised pure copper strand. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you got your rolls mixed up. I was actually amazed at what I received for less than 10 dollars! It's definitely pure copper for one thing. Some cheaper wires I've bought in the past boast a pure copper conductor, and they were truthful, but what they didn't say was that the insulator was way thicker than it needed to be and the conductor was a gossimer thin 3 or 4 strands.... Southwire sent exactly what they promised. A quality, pure copper strand primary wire all neat on a roll, ready for me to use on many various applications. I can't say for sure that I received exactly 100 feet, but I'll tell you one thing... For 9 bucks I won't lose sleep over a foot or 2 if it isn't quite what it should be. It's good wire at almost half the price it should be. I challenge anyone to find 100 feet of better wire for anything even close to this price. I've bought wire from 3 different manufacturers I'm the past couple months and I've finally found a company that makes a good product for a good price. I'll be ordering more from Southwire, this roll of 18awg will be awesome to work with.

Great Value
Great value on a good amount of copper-stranded wire. Really happy with the quality. I am a repeat customer. just check what gauge you need.

This wire is intended to setup an End Fed Half Wave Antenna in the field (e.g. not permanent). I went with the 18 Guage wire as it is lighter when going into the field. I have not used it yet, but the wire looks perfect. I would not use it as a permanent wire for an antenna, but this is not the fault of the wire, more the selected guage, and as mentioned the priority was keeping the weight down when hiking

I bought this on offer here in amazon for my kitchen lights project. I used it to connect a new led light bar for my kitchen, and it did the job just fine! The roll is very convenient to keep the wires in good order, easy to unroll/roll without tangle Recommended.

Appropriate thickness, I've already used nearly half in a couple weeks on some projects and will buy again when I run out.

This wire works great for many different tasks. I have enjoyed working with it and has worked for what I needed it for.

The wire worked great for my project. The only issue as others buyers had noted is that it is a little short. My spool was about 10 fee short of 100 feet. Otherwise, will recommend!
