My ancient ironing board, inherited from my grandmother, (nothing is made like the old) finally collapsed in a heap on the garage floor. It had wooden legs and just wore out, from 75 years of use. Needing to purchase a new board, but wanted to make sure my needs were met, I had a search on my hands. I had been using a small table next to my grandmother's board, that I had placed an ironing pad on for placing the iron between uses. I really wanted a new board with an attached shelf eliminating the table and freeing up more floor space. After much searching and discarding other boards, I decided on this Mabel Home model. I really love the board cover! Next is the attached shelf. It comes with a rubber strap that holds the iron in place. When I am finished with my ironing, I can place the iron in the recessed space for the iron. I then pull the strap through the handle of the iron, and attach it on the other side of the iron. It keeps the iron from sliding around, even when I move the board. This means it is a permanent place to house the iron. The other positive about this board, it is very lightweight to move. All I have to do is a one-handed lift from the front of the board and move it over, to allow for getting to the washer-dryer. Oh, this board comes with an additional cover, just like the one already on the board. I so love the original cover, that I am very pleased to have an identical replacement! I still miss my grandmother's old board, but this is a beautiful replacement that completely fits my needs!

I really like this ironing board. It is compact, sturdy and light weight. I have used this ironing board on both hardwood floors and carpeting and it remains sturdy and in place. I notice that for most of my ironing tasks it is large enough and I have not missed having a full size ironing board. The iron rest works well. I bought this a while ago and the elastic around the cover has now stretched out. I have attached ties to hold it in place until I can sew a new cover. I wish I could buy a new cover in that size. I did add some extra felt padding under the padding that and cover because I prefer it that way, but it is fine the way comes.

The item arrived and was placed in the correct place inside of breezeway door. It was easy to assemble and I am quite pleased with it. Even though I could use a full size board, I preferred this smaller version as it takes up less space in my room (I have no closet to put it in. I like the idea of an additional ironing board cover. That will come in handy. I also like the idea of a place to put my hot iron when I'm finished ironing. Well made. I'd give it 5 stars.

The item it self is sturdy, but the covering bleeds if you to steam any garment. Be careful. You have to use a sheet on top of the covering.

This ironing board is extremely well made. You may have to adapt your ironing style to conform to it's length. Or lack of.My trousers inseam is 34", a little long for this board, but if you iron the uppers across the board then complete lengthwise, no problem. If you are unwilling to change your ironing style a little, this board is not for you.

Needed to move to a board that was easy to store as I lost my space on a recent kitchen refit. Does iron as much these days so happy to downsize. Lovely sturdy board, god padding and stable. Space for iron to sit which some of the other compact boards don’t have. Not sure why it is angled the way it is but not a big problem. Love how flat it folds and the hook for hanging in my wardrobe. Slightly heavy but still easy to put up/down

I needed a light weight ironing board and chose this model for that purpose and it did meet my requirements, it is light and easy to carry to ironing location. However, I don't like the iron stand because it is only possible to place the iron in one position, which is almost flat, and consequently steam continues to pour out of the iron all the time.If this is corrected I would give it five stars.

This ironing board is ok. Sturdy enough, light and well padded board makes ironing much easier. Drops elegantly when lever pressed and rubber tie keeps it together when stored. I've had worse

It’s very light and wobbles when ironing stuffIt feels like a toy … good looking easy to store not very sturdy for me … heat resistance ..fab padding and colour is fabulous too
