Great Book for teens to understand what ADD/ADHD are
My son was diagnosed with inattentive ADD last December, and he was 15 years old. He is still having hard time accepting the fact that he has ADD. He has no interest to learn anything about it, and assumes it is a retarded disorder. He feels ashamed and embarrassed that he does not want anybody in his school to find out. I bought this book with a recommendation from my ADD/ADHD instructor from CHADD. I read it, and it was very easy to understand, teens' experiences are listed by individual teenagers, and it was very convincing and precise. I left the book in the family room so that maybe my son gets interested in reading it one day. I think this is a great book for teens to learn how to handle and live with ADD/ADHD in their lives. Very recommended.

Must Read for Teen-ADHD
This book is packed with tried, tested, real-life personal experience for handling teen-ADHD. It's not written by a licensed professional, rather by ADHD teenagers (also the authors) who had real experience. This book is better than those written by most professionals because readers get to know what other teenagers did. It's helpful such as when one wants to know which ADHD medication other teens took. The book also shares a lot of IEP accommodations which is important (schools are not going to know what to do for your teen without your input).I can't say enough how helpful this book is for myself. If you have teen-ADHD to deal with, this book is a good guide.

AMAZON'S FANTASTIC RETURN POLICY!
I had purchased this book but before it arrived we received a similiar one. It was so EASY with AMAZON to print out the return label and follow the clear instructions and ship it back for a perfect refund! BTW, this book "A Bird's-Eye View of Life with ADD and ADHD" is a WONDER! If your child has been diagnosed with this disorder...THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU TO READ! I have two sons with ADD AND ADHD and this book tells you ALL you need to know! I love this book! I only wish that it had been around when 12 years ago when my first son was diagnosed with it. BUY IT! READ IT!...and give it to your teen to read or read it to him, because it is a most encouraging source of HOPE and KNOWLEDGE!

best ADD book for teens and parents of ADD teens
I have read many books on ADD (I have it, both kids have it). This is by far the best book for teens to read to understand their ADD and how it affects their lives. PArents should read, too. Helps to understand what kids are going thru. Started out as library book, and then bought this copy. Make sure you give your teen a pack of post-it notes as they read thru to mark passages. Recommended to teens, parents and any psychologist who claims to understand ADD.

Very good book for students with ADD & ADHD.
I bought this book for my teenage grandson who has ADD to help him with his disability, with advice from other teenagers with ADD & ADHD. I skimmed thru the book before I gave it to my grandson. The teenagers are direct and honest with their advice living with ADD & ADHD.

Excellent resource for teens
Excellent resource for teens. I used it in my family along with the Teenagers with ADD and ADHD by Chris Dendy. The book is a quick and easy read for kids who suffer from ADD or ADHD. It is easy to read in small sections and teens can relate to the experiences of others their own age that are used throughout the book.

I love this book and have used it with multiple students ...
I love this book and have used it with multiple students with ADHD. It helps them see they're not alone and their diagnosis is quite manageable with the right strategies.

Interesting
Written by young adults diagnosed with ADHD to help others who also have this neurological challenge. Not a lot of new information but interesting to read about their lives.
