Barrington Hardwoods Black Walnut Bowl Blanks - 6" x 6" x 2" (2 Pcs)

Nice blanks. Arrived on time and in very good condition. No chips, gouges or voids. I’m fairly new with turning on the lathe, but I did manage to make some pretty bowls from these blanks.

These blanks did not like my carbide tools, but they liked my HSS just fine. Carbide caused too much chip out. Maybe it's me, but HSS always does a better job with less work at the end. These were a pleasure to turn. I got a rhythm going, and it was nice and smooth hollowing out the bowl. I'd buy these again.

I have only turned one of the blanks so far but it was a fine piece of wood. Attractive grain, cut and dried correctly.

The black walnut color is exceptional... I use a basic is basic mineral oil which work great... The black walnut blanks are a little expensive pensive but it was worth it.

Nice pieces. Had a couple spots that may have been CA glued. Nothing that affected the items.Hope the prices could come down a tad bit.

Better price than I can buy locally. The blanks came to me dry and ready to turn. Had beautiful grain, no cracks or knots. Will buy again.

Exactly as specified. High quality lumber for the craftsman. I use it for CNC jewelry boxes and plaques.
