Beautiful
The writing is very small but I’m guessing that’s normal with classics, this is my first one so I wouldn’t know. The cover is beautiful!

PRINT is VERY SMALL!!!
This is a great novel but the PRINT is VERY SMALL!!! I would suggest finding a version of this novel with larger print to avoid eye strain.

Lovely
I think this is the fourth time I’ve read this and it was the first time I wanted to give it 5 stars. I think the audio book was a huge factor. It felt almost luxurious to have the story read to me. But it still hasn’t moved up in my ranking of Austen stories (right in the middle). This is such a fun cast of characters. Yes, the Darcy and Lizzie romance is well-done, but it isn’t my favorite. The sisterly bond between Jane and Lizzie is perfection. Their love for each other jumps off the page. And the relationship between Jane and Bingley gets me in the feels. I feel so bad for Jane-probably because she’s so nice.It took me so long to finish this because I wanted to savor it. I’ll definitely be listening to this again.

Valued Personal Library Addition
The story is 5-star, but the physical book itself is 3-star at most.Big fan of the Keira Knightly movie version of Pride & Prejudice, so it was a lot of fun picking out the lines that the movie lifted directly from the book. The older English-style of writing from Jane Austin's time period took a bit to get used to, but seeing the movie first definitely helped. This book should not be purchased as a gift or added to your library if you are looking for something that is classy and display-quality. The soft cover is not the problem, it's the printing. A very small font, which is sort of OK, but it looks as though the story was printed as one long story without attention to chapter breaks. There are several places where the chapter headings (simply numbered chapters) start at the bottom of the page with no further text instead of starting on a fresh page. This became irritating. Also, the page numbers and identifying headers are very close to the top of the page, which is something I have never seen before in a book. It's a good addition if you just wanted to have a copy of this masterpiece. Glad I bought it.
