This is the second product I have purchased from the Ilex Wood range (I previously bought their Calendula balm) and I am again very impressed with it.First impressions- It is a small tin BUT you only need to use a tiny amount so it will last a long time. Moisturising without being super greasy. Soothing for chapped lips and protects from the cold weather. Scent is not strong and is herby/medicinal and minty. I can’t speak of its lasting effects as I had it for literally a day before my daughter pinched it off me so now I’ve got to order myself another one! I would definitely recommend this range to others.

I’ve always been big on lip balm, but never really found one that works great for me. This one, however, has worked amazing, and I’ve only had it for 10 days so far!I often get sore, red, itchy lips, especially in bad weather, and since using this product my lips have been the best they’ve ever been (and the weather has been awful!).The smell is beautiful, and the taste when you initially put it on is lovely!Tea tree is in the ingredients- I have extremely sensitive skin, I’m very sensitive to tea tree and come up in severe rashes when I use it; however, I haven’t had any reaction with this product! (The first time I’ve never had a reaction to tea tree).I like the size, it’s very practical and easy to carry around with you.I think it would also be nice if there were other sizes to choose from, though. I’d definitely purchase a bigger size to keep at home so the smaller one could stay in my bag.I’d love it if in the future you’d consider making other skin care products (like moisturises, etc) ans even hair care products!Leaves your lips feeling smooth, healthy, and hydrated. Really like this natural lip balm and also the eco friendly packaging is a plus!The peppermint really stands out in this product but not overpowering.Nice consistency and level of moisturising qualities. Feels good to use and smells so clean and fresh.Really recommend ( and delivery time was quick too)

I stopped leaving product reviews since 2021 but thought of writing again because I just can’t ignore this amazing Lip Balm that I have been using for many years already.I stumbled upon this product way back in 2021 at the height of a bad cold sore. I bought 1 to try and never looked back. I have been using Ilex Wood Lemon Balm & Peppermint Lip Balm since then. My then teenager daughter and now a young adult had a bad case of dry lips that sometimes it bled no matter how hydrated she is and this lip balm has helped her immensely.I always ordered in bulk as there are 3 of us using the product – my daughter, hubby and me. It’s very effective for cold sores and dry lips, and pimples too - yes you heard me, pimples. I am not a young person, but I still got pimples occasionally and this lip balm is amazing. It stopped the pimples from growing or spreading. I never had to buy meds anymore for cold sore or pimples for the last 4 years.Please note that my experience with the product may not be the same for you as we all react to certain things differently, but one thing is sure that as a Lip Balm and cold sore help, this product is superb.The only drawback is when I am on holiday because I needed to use cotton buds to apply the balm on my lips as I don't feel comfortable using my fingers to apply the balm while in the airport or in the plane.I hope Ilex Wood will produce a roll on lip balm in the coming years. The drawback I mentioned has nothing to do with the efficacy of the product hence I am still happy to give 5 star to this amazing lip balm.

I bought this as a natural alternative for my lips that get quite dry. It smells lovely, not overly strong, but feels grainy on my lips and doesn't settle or hydrate/moisturise my lips, as least in my experience, and I played with the amount to see if that made a difference. I feels better on my hands, though, so will use it up on them, as a backup hand cream instead.
