As close to the original 1942 stamped holster that I got back in the '50s when I was a kid playing army, I never noticed it at the time but I was born in 1942. the weight and feel and over all quality of the new one is outstanding! Looks like my old holster. Well my original holster 74 years old so it does feel different. The only thing the new one is missing is the date stamp on the back that was in the product picture. Another item is that the wire hook thing one the new one is a bit thicker and hasn't gone through the eyelets on the web belt yet, nothing I cant take care of though! All in all I am very pleased with your holster and look forward to wearing it and letting my old one rest be handed down to one of my sons. I was surprised to see a replica even available and I would recommend this to anyone!I did get the troublesome hook through the eyelet but had to use pliers and convince it to go through. I think it had to do with the angle of the bend and thickness of the wire but it worked out fine. Still happy and impressed and it looks good on the web belt!!

Great looking with substantial thick leather construction and perfect fit for my KAHR-AO GI replica 1911. Has hooks for attaching to the standard military web belt as well as civilian belt slots. Flap closes and snaps over handle with no trimming required. An inner raised pad keeps the gun from from moving around inside the holster when carrying. I really am pleased with the look and feel of this product.

Good Solid holster. Tight fit even on a Milspec 1911, but it will slowly form over time. The leather is good and thick, the rivets and stitching look good. All in all I couldn't be happier.

This product is amazing anyway you look at it. It is well worth the money. It is the perfect thickness for my needs. It fits my pistol perfectly. I would recommend this holster to anyone. I love it.

After 4 other options purchased and tried I found the right fit. Excellent quality leather and carries my .45 acp perfectly. I had some apprehension about this product due to some negative reviews suggesting mildewed leather, but my product showed nothing shot of high quality materials and craftsmanship. I expect this holster to be holding my pistol 50+years from now as it rides on the hip of one of my children.

It does Not fit the large frame 1911, 45 caliber. It might fit a smaller 9mm.
