Given that my laptop is now suspended vertically, I also find I never hear the fan and it is always cool to the touch. This stand can be wobbly is if you do not place the laptop down symmetrically. So for those of you constantly plugging and unplugging USB ports, headphones, etc, just be mindful and use both hands when doing so. The base of this stand feels like a premium metal and the rubber crevice where the laptop rests gives a nice grip. Appreciate the minimal branding as well!

I have been trying to bring some order and minimalism to my workspace in my office and as I mostly use a monitor connected to my 2016 MBP, this is perfect. Given that my laptop is now suspended vertically, I also find I never hear the fan and it is always cool to the touch. This stand can be wobbly is if you do not place the laptop down symmetrically. This thing is pretty nice. Looks good and matches the look of my macbook well. It could use some rubber pads or something on the bottom. It's very stable in that it won't tip over easily, but it slides very easily on hard surfaces. Needs something on the bottom. Other than that, no complaints.
