This camera provides a lot of capability for the price. Did not give it five stars because the installation instructions are terrible. Here's what you need to know to install this camera: At the stereo head unit, connect the red wire to the reverse sensing wire coming from the stereo, and plug the yellow RCA plug into the backup camera jack. At the rear of the car, connect the red/black wire that says "reverse B+" to the positive wire going to your reverse lights. Connect the black wire to the black wire of your reverse lights. Now, connect the red wire coming from the yellow RCA plug to the positive wire going to your reverse lights. So, the positive wire from your reverse lights has two wires spliced into it. If you wire it this way, you will get video when you put your car into reverse. Remember, the positive wire in your reverse light has two functions: one is to power the camera, and the other is to send a signal to the reverse sensing wire to let it know to show the reverse camera video. If you wire this any other way you will have the camera running all of the time and shorten it's life. There are a lot of bad videos online about this install. Just keep it simple and it will work fine. You will need extra wire to run the red wire to the reverse positive. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cam works great. Easy to install *by N***M on Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2018* Cam works great. Easy to install. Picture quality is great during the day, haven't tried it out at night. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. I installed my cam based on the first review and their instructions. To reiterate - connect one end with yellow to back of stereo to cam in and the corresponding red wire to reverse b+ wire coming from the back of the stereo. The other end connect the yellow to the corresponding yellow female end on the cam. The power wire with the black tip and red and black wire connect to your reverse tail light along with other red wire attached to the video wire. You may need to add more wire like I did to reach. Connect both red wires to the reverse positive wire and the black wire to ground. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent quality. A metallic housing suggests the camera is very robust as well. The base allows for easy mounting and adjustability to get the best up or down viewing angle. Comes with grid lines. But they are easily disabled with a snip is the blue wire on the camera side. The wiring itself is also of good quality. The instructions however are virtually non-existent.
