Can you handle the Veritas?
I'm a metal player and have used D'Addario 9's/10's for many years now. I also play bass and after having my bass playing world entirely rocked by DR bass strings I decided to give their guitar strings a go.They're a very interesting string and first and foremost I'd say to anyone who is curious, give them a go. They have a very nice tonal quality across all the strings. Crunchy rhythm is easily attained as well as smooth overdriven bluesy bends on the higher strings and frets. None of the strings seem to over voice one another and bridge/neck/coil-splitting is beautifully emphasised.Tension on each string feels good at rest, through bends and vibrato. Tuning is stable when you pay attention to the instructions inside the packet with regard to preparing your strings correctly before winding them on. The three plain strings (silver standard ones) do feel a little harsher under the finger than the D'Addario but these sets come with 3 extra plain strings which I believe are softer (I haven't tried these yet).If I was to say there was any negative points it would be that the wound strings are very noisy under the finger and this needs a little bit of adaptation to overcome. I'm not sure if it's the material the strings are coated with or the intervals between the small ridges in the string windings that create this scratchy noise but you can actually get some great pick scrapes out of it if you don't mind a few chunks out of your plectrum. All in all, I'd say that these are a very versatile string for many styles of playing and are worth at least one try. If for no other reason just for the tonal capabilities as they really do sound very nice.

Super quality
Terrific sounding strings that stay bang on tune. These were what my Shergold guitar came with, and I was impressed from the start.

Good strings, but feel a bit "sharp"
All fine really, but, compared to D'Darrio (cant spell it sorry), my fingers dont seem to glide so easily over them. Feels sharper and less comfortable. Not a problem though.

3 months on and still sounding great
Been playing guitar for 30yrs plus and i can honestly say one of the best packs of strings i have ever used. Tried them as a found a pack a few quid cheaper on Amazon, yeah they are a bit more expensive but they still sound, feel and look ace after 3 months of heavy use. Just kept them clean and they are still going strong!

Mmm.
Trying different strings recently to find something that can stand up to the apparent sulphuric acid I secrete instead of finger oils, so I picked up a pack of these to try. They were OK. I used the additional set of gold coloured coated plain strings and really liked those, but you can't get them in their own set.The bass strings were nice, but the low E was absolutely dead and lifeless and I had to replace that with a standard string. There were additional instructions I found later on inside the packet about how you have to pre-bend these strings before stringing them to prevent the string going dead due to the fact that they have a round core wire instead of a hex wire.In all, a pretty mixed bag and honestly, I suggest that if you need coated strings like I do, get some Elixirs.

Incredible
Best strings I've used so far on my electric guitars. You name it, I've used them before.

Long time Veritas user because they're the best.
10 - 52Best tone for funk, jazz blues, & any music played on electric geetar—truth is tho, the tone comes from your fingers & articulation—still, best tone for my fingers=)Longest string life I've experienced after playing for over 20 yrs. Also, I love the bonus Xenon power-plain strings that they toss in! I have so many extra 10, 13, & 17s still in the packs because I prefer the Xenons..On electric guitar, there's no substitute for DR Strings. I put a pair on 15 years ago & never looked back.Cheers!
