This will get your nuts off but I had to take my wheel off because the socket was very short for the room I needed. Fits the axel nut for a 2004 325xi BMW great though, you just might want a longer one

I've been pleasantly reassured time and time again of the quality of Sunex tools and equipment. I currently use this socket to loosed/torque down the axle nuts on certain Harley-Davidson axles. So far I haven't had any problems with cracking, excessive wear or any of that stuff a pro mechanic doesn't want to deal with. I recommend this one for sure. Its price point is frugal friendly and its help up to processional abuse... er uh, I mean use! Go for it!

I purchased this 36mm 12pts 1/2" drive impact socket for taking off the axle nuts on my car. Those are torqued to 300Nm at the factory or 221Ft-lbs. The socket is well made, and fits snugly, unlike a 36mm craftsman socket purchased from Sears. It's heavy duty and well made for its purpose.

I needed this for the 36mm 12pt axel nut on my 2003 BMW, worked perfectly, now I'll probably never need this tool again due to its successful use.
