Review: Lighting Up the Alaskan Summer: Panasonic Eneloop Pro Batteries and Canon Speedlite 600EX-II RT - I recently embarked on a memorable photo shoot adventure in Homer, Alaska, during the radiant summer season. Armed with my trusty Canon Speed-lite 600EX-II RT flash unit and powered by Panasonic Eneloop Pro AA High Capacity Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries, this experience turned out to be an unforgettable blend of technology and natural beauty. Homer, known for its stunning landscapes and picturesque surroundings, provided the perfect backdrop for my photography aspirations. One evening, I found myself capturing the essence of this Alaskan paradise. The sun was setting, casting a golden hue over the rugged terrain, and I wanted to illuminate my subject without compromising the breathtaking background. This is where the Eneloop Pro batteries truly shone. Loaded into my Canon Speed lite, they powered my flash consistently and reliably throughout the shoot. The batteries' high capacity proved to be a game-changer, allowing me to capture the beauty of the Alaskan summer without worrying about constantly changing batteries or running out of power. As I positioned my subject against the backdrop of the Homer landscape, the Canon Speed lite, powered by Eneloop Pro batteries, brought an artful brilliance to the scene. The flashes accentuated the intricate details of my subject while maintaining the natural allure of the surroundings. The pre-charged feature of the Eneloop Pro batteries allowed me to start shooting immediately, ensuring that I didn't miss any of those precious moments as the sun dipped below the horizon. But what truly set these batteries apart was their exceptional performance under the unique conditions of an Alaskan summer. Even in the cool, crisp air, they delivered consistent power, ensuring that my flashes fired rapidly and reliably. Their low self-discharge rate was a blessing, as I could focus on capturing the magic of the moment, knowing my equipment was ready when I needed it. Throughout the photoshoot, I was reminded of the extraordinary synergy between the Canon Speed lite 600EX-II RT and the Eneloop Pro batteries. They transformed a beautiful scene into a breathtaking masterpiece, capturing the essence of Homer, Alaska, in the summertime. In conclusion, my experience with the Panasonic Eneloop Pro AA High Capacity Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries, paired with the Canon Speed-lite 600EX-II RT, during my Alaskan summer photo shoot in Homer, was nothing short of phenomenal. These batteries not only provided consistent power but also offered the reliability and performance needed to capture the essence of this awe-inspiring landscape. If you're a photographer seeking a reliable and long-lasting power source for your flash photography, look no further. The Eneloop Pro batteries will help you bring your creative visions to life, even in the most picturesque but demanding settings. Review: All twelve cells exceeded the 2500mAh capacity rating - The pack of 12 battery cells I received are genuine Panasonic Eneloop Pro AA cells based on my measurements of the current capacity in mAh of each cell and the 30 gram weight per cell of the Panasonic specifications. There are so many counterfeits being sold on eBay and desertcart that you don't know if a seller is to be trusted unless you verify the product is genuine yourself. The AA cell is specified as weighing 30 grams so a counterfeit might weigh 29 grams or some other value above or below 30 grams. I placed all 12 cells on my calibrated scale and they measured 360 grams which divided by 12 is 30 grams per cell. The minimum capacity is specified as 2500 mAh (milliamp-hours). All twelve cells exceeded the specification as seen in the spreadsheet image. All cells were fully charged when received and the voltage was within an impressive 0.1% of each other. I would have even been impressed with a 1% variation. Counterfeit cells would have a much greater variation in voltage like 5%. The labelling had an embossed date code (counterfeits could have just a printed date code). Dimensions were correct. I've had the standard eneloop cells for years and they are still performing well so I expect the Pro version to be even better. The Pro version is a little pricey at five dollars per cell but that is expected if these hold up for the 500 charge/discharge cycles specified with the greatest capacity of any other AA NiMh battery cell. ## Features - EXTREMELY POWERFUL NiMH RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES: eneloop pro AA high capacity Ni-MH pre-charged rechargeable battery deliver up to 2600mAh typical, 25000mAh minimum - LONG LASTING PERFORMANCE: Recharge eneloop pro AA rechargeable batteries up to 500 times - PRE-CHARGED AND READY TO USE: eneloop pro AA and AAA rechargeable batteries are pre-charged at the factory using solar power and maintain up to 85% of their charge after 1 year (when unused and properly stored) - SECURE, PROTECTIVE PACKAGING: This package contains 12 eneloop pro AA rechargeable batteries - EXTREME TEMPERATURES: eneloop pro rechargeable batteries can used in extreme temperatures, down to -4 deg F. - QUALITY YOU CAN TRUST: These eneloop pro rechargeable AA batteries are made in Japan and packaged in the United States - HUNDREDS OF HOUSEHOLD DEVICES: Perfect for use in hundreds of household devices, these eneloop pro AA rechargeable batteries can be used in remote flashlights, toys, digital camera flash units, game controllers and more ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07MBBW2S1 | | Antenna Location | remote controls, flashlights, toys, wireless computer devices, rc cars, digital camera flash units, game controllers and more | | Battery Capacity | 950 milliampere_hour | | Battery Cell Composition | NiMH | | Battery Cell Type | NiMH | | Battery Weight | 12.69 ounces | | Best Sellers Rank | #123,780 in Health & Household ( See Top 100 in Health & Household ) #294 in AA Batteries | | Brand | Eneloop | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 1,716 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00073096902978 | | Included Components | 12 AA eneloop pro high capacity rechargeable batteries | | Item Weight | 0.37 kg | | Manufacturer | Panasonic | | Model Name | Rechargeable batteries | | Model Number | BK-3HCCA12FA | | Number of Batteries | 12 AA batteries required. | | Recommended Uses For Product | remote controls, flashlights, toys, wireless computer devices, rc cars, digital camera flash units, game controllers and more Recommended Uses For Product remote controls, flashlights, toys, wireless computer devices, rc cars, digital camera flash units, game controllers and more See more | | Reusability | Rechargeable | | UPC | 073096902978 | | Unit Count | 12 Count | | Voltage | 1.5 volts | | Warranty Description | This product is guaranteed to be free from defects in materials and workmanship | ## Product Details - **Battery Capacity:** 950 milliampere_hour - **Battery Cell Composition:** NiMH - **Brand:** Eneloop - **Number of Batteries:** 12 AA batteries required. ## Images ![Panasonic BK-3HCCA12FA pro AA High Capacity Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries, 12-Battery Pack - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71mzpw45uRL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: The description says this is a 12-pack, but the photo shows 10 batteries. Can someone clarify?** A: I thought it was odd too, but decided to buy anyway. The other two batteries are under the 10 shown on the front. I'm not sure why they decided to package it that way, but there are indeed 12 batteries included. **Q: is the usb port on the charger micro or type c?** A: Its an outlet plug! **Q: What's a good charger for these that does more? Our shed lights (4 of them) use 8 batteries each, so what will charge more than 4 batteries at a time?** A: I got this with my pack. Seems to do well. They Last FOREVER! More than 5 Years and Counting. *by V***R on April 27, 2023* PROS/What I Like: 1. VERY long lasting. I have over 5 years of use and going strong! Company claims 10 year life span up to 70% charge 2. Maintains great charge 3. Environmentally friendly by reducing toxic waste vs disposable single use batteries 4. Convenient. Don't need to go to the store to buy batteries all the time. Just switch them out with your extra batteries and charge them up! 5. Out of box factory SOLAR POWERED pre-charged for instant use 6. Maintains up to 85% of charge after 1 year when not in use 7. Pro version is higher capacity and power @ 950mAH vs standard version @ 750mAH 8. High capacity up to 500 charges! 9. Extreme temperature rated down to -4 deg F. 10. Made in Japan who continues to design and manufacture high quality products CONS and Other Considerations 1. Not really a con but more of a consideration, the charge time is 4 hours for the black pro battery and 2 hours for the white or green standard version. This hasn't been an issue for me because I always keep extra charged batteries available. I got tired of buying bulk batteries from Amazon or Costco only to have them die and then run to the store when one of my devices needed a fresh set of batteries. Not only that but I felt bad throwing them away because I knew you are supposed to dispose of them properly since they are considered toxic waste. So about five years ago I bought the green and white batteries you see in the picture. We have used them for everything from flashlights, remote controls, cameras, wireless keyboards, wireless mouse, LED candles, Xbox and PlayStation remote controls, electronic bathroom scales, and basically everything that needs a battery. I am still using the original batteries from over five years ago but decided to purchase more due to the needs of batteries in my kids remote controls and our household items. I upgraded my Eneloop to the Pro version and still love them! They hold a longer charge and provide more power so I can use them for a very long time before needing to replace them. This is great for the environment and also more efficient to not always have to go out and buy batteries if I need one. I just charge them up and they are ready to go for a long time. I HIGHLY recommend these to anyone needing a longer term battery solution. ## Frequently Bought Together - Eneloop Panasonic BK-3HCCA12FA pro AA High Capacity Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries, 12-Battery Pack - Eneloop Panasonic BK-4HCCA16FA pro AAA High Capacity Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries, 16-Battery Pack - Panasonic BQ-CC65AKBBA Super Advanced eneloop pro and eneloop 4-Position Quick Charger with LCD Indicator Panel and USB Charging Port, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ph/products/99256818-panasonic-bk-3hcca12fa-pro-aa-high-capacity-ni-mh-pre](https://www.desertcart.ph/products/99256818-panasonic-bk-3hcca12fa-pro-aa-high-capacity-ni-mh-pre) --- *Product available on Desertcart Philippines* *Store origin: PH* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
