Worked like a charm
I had an old ceiling bulb changer but the suction cup attachment wasn't working anymore. I found this one, attached easily to the handle and worked perfectly. Hard to change the lamps in the canisters on a 12-ft ceiling without this handy-dandy little tool!

WILL WORK PERFECT AND LAST A LONG TIME IF…
The bulb changer is very good for residential use. Would not recommend for commercial use.Cut one side of the package to open and save for later. See photo #4.TO MINIMIZE THE CHANCE OF DROPPING THE USED BULB1. Wipe the bulb with a clean cloth to remove dust and dirt first. As a test I placed the suction cup on the used bulb and did not get very good suction. After cleaning the bulb the grip was perfect. Attach a cloth to your extension pole using velcro, masking tape, or whatever. Make sure the suction cup is clean as well. See photo #1.2. Screw on the bulb changer to your extension pole and DO hand tighten the thumb screw until the bulb changer cannot be turned in either direction without excessive force. This will prevent the handle from coming unscrewed while working with the used or new bulb. See Photo #2. See photo #3 of a secured bulb.3. DO NOT ALLOW THE STRING TO WRAP AROUND THE POLE. If this happens the string may get pulled, release the suction and the bulb will drop.STORING THE BULB CHANGERIf you are like most people the bulb changer will not be used often. Here are a couple of tips to make the bulb changer last as long as the suction cups shelf life, whatever that is.Cut the string from the cup and find an object to wrap the string around. When you need it again you will not have deal with knots and tangles. Cutting an inch off the string will not matter in the long run. I used a small scrap piece of wood. See photo #3B and 5Cut one side of the package are place the bulb changer back in when done and tape closed. The will minimize the chances of damaging the cup if storing in the back of a drawer, junk box or other forgotten place until it is needed. If you get a good crease in the cup it is trash. See photo #4.

Suction lightbulb attachment
Worked great, was exact suction replacement piece for my kit that had worn out over the last 20yrs or so. Very pleased with purchase

It works! You need to moisten the plastic cup a bit to get a good seal, but it works!
I am guessing they had to balance suction against being able to get it off of the lightbulb without breaking it. I think the suction cup could be a little more round to help get a good adhesion on the bulb. That was my one point of issue with them is it takes some finagling to get it to stick to the bulb. That is an issue when trying to get one that is burned out, as it is up on the ceiling and not close to work on.But again, I understand it would not be good if you could not break the seal without breaking the bulb. It is a fine line they walk and That must be considered.

So Easy!
Had a stairwell light that was 30' up (I kid you not). Screwed the suction cup on the end of my extending pole, wet my finger and rubbed that onto the suction cup to get it a bit wet, extended the pole to its absolute length and carefully pushed the suction cup against the 30' up bulb. Twist, twist, twist, and POOF, it was free. Carefully brought it down. Attached the string (which was just long enough), re-wetted the suction cup, and pressed my Sylvania color smart bulb on the end of the suction cup. I extra-carefully extended the pole back up, having a minor problem keeping the 30' pole steady, but either I'm good or lucky (probably more the latter), but the screw went in the socket. Twist, twist, twist, and the new bulb is installed.I'm not sure I've ever had any device work so perfectly as intended. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Of course, paying $8 for $.30 worth of materials is a bit irritating, but it's worth every penny for what it accomplished.

Does not perform as expected
Don’t waste your money. Did not suction to the bulb, even tried wetting the suction cup with hot water. Bulb stayed suctioned for about 10 sec, fell off and hit the wall and shattered. Terrible product. Would give negative stars if possible.

Flood light suction cup
It works sometimes, but other times it loses connection and the light bulb falls and breaks.

Brilliant device
This worked! Attach to a broom stick and make sure to tighten the screw with pliers (hand tightening is not good enough, it will slip). Apply a little water to cup and Walla! Great simplistic device that solves a tricky problem.

Very useful
Amazing ! It’s very little but it works great, it’s cheap but works better than expensive one. I have changed the led bulb of my chandelier from 20” high ceiling .

Fast and Economical Way to Change Hard to Reach Light Bulbs
I have a BR40 light bulb 20' high right in the middle of a flight of stairs, and it is impossible to setup a ladder on the stairs. I searched around and found this is the cheapest and safest way to change the light bulb. I chose this greater suction and release with a string over those that has less suction with no string release and requires some balancing, because I don't want to deal with the chance of a falling light bulb from 20'.The changer fits standard poles, and I happen to have one so it saved me from buying a pole. The changer got loose on my first attempt to unscrew the light bulb. I quickly screwed back the half way out light bulb and then released the changer. I tightened the knob more on the stick, and the 2nd time, I got the bulb out with no problem. It was easy to put in the new bulb and release the changer by pulling the string.Just make sure tighten the knob well before use, as unscrewing a light bulb also go in the direction of loosing the changer from the stick. It is likely I won't be needing to use the changer again given the long life of a LED bulb, so under $10 for a one time use is acceptable given the difficult task I have.

Works well
Just make sure the bulb your taking out is clean. If it’s dirty, the suction cup won’t stick to it.

This actually worked!!
My husband and I were skeptical that this product would work but it worked well. It allowed me to change recessed halogen light bulbs in a very high stairwell (maybe 2 stories) by myself (I'm 5'1), with no other tools. One light bulb did fall off because it was a bit dusty but luckily didn't break. You need to make sure to use the included string. We bought the mr long arm pole to use it with.Update: the plastic base where the screw goes in broke after a couple years. We will buy a replacement, maybe a different brand
