Honestly, when I ordered this Tattoo Cord, I saw 3.5mm and thought it was a Headphone Cord with a larger attachment.That was my mistake.So I am not sure how well this works for Tattoo purposes.However, I did use this with my Headphones and it does work, sort of.It will only pass audio through one side of the headphones.For me, that works just fine, as I needed a Headphone Cord with a the larger attachment to plug into my Metal Detector.Even though it passes audio through one side, I wear the headphones around my neck. It makes it so I can hear the Beeps, but it does not make too much noise for those around me.The Build Quality on the Cord is great. It is thick and strong. The Attachment is solid with a little weight to it.So I ordered, by mistake, but it still worked perfectly for me.

This comes in handy if you have a tattoo machine that has a smaller power cord output, or you have a power supply that has a small input, or a tattoo machine that goes from a small output to a larger one. There is a bigger width plug that fits over.This may also work for headphones. If you have smaller ones but a bigger phone jack, you can put the larger piece over the smaller one and listen to music that way. As far as tattooing goes though, this is helpful for allowing you to use any kind of different supply or output as warranted which makes this a very needful tool.
