I will tell you I had no issues setting it up to my old Genie opener I installed around 2001. So yes my remote was the larger Black one with single grey button ACSCTG Type 1. This one works fine but I have a wooden door with regular wooden garage connected to home. I tend to believe its weeker signal gets interupted by metal garage/doors. Its only about the size of a key fob witch is great but I must be within 70ft of my door to open it....Its small size makes it worth that to me. **Q: Does this come with instructions for programming?** A: Yes it did come with instructions. They are simple. I opened the light cover of the garage door opener and found a program button. If I remember right, you press it, a light beside it blinks, you press the garage door remote, and the blinking stops. That was it. It started opening the garage door right away. Was really simple. The hardest part was getting the garage door light cover off. **Q: I need am extra remote. i have genie model gict-390. is this compatible?** A: Yes, this is compatible. **Q: Just curious to know if anyone having range problems has changed the battery. This problem usually indicates low battery power.** A: I've had the same opener about 20 years (came with new house purchased in late 1996), and the remote is about 7 years old. But I only recently started having range problems. Changing the battery did not help. And it's intermittent - some times it'll open before I reach the driveway, other times I have to be right in front of the door and have to press it a few times before it opens. Holding the button longer doesn't help, either. I guess I'll just get this new remote and hope for the best. ## Frequently Bought Together - Genie Single Button Garage Door Opener Remotes (2 Pack) - Safe & Secure Access - Each Remote Compatibile Only With Genie Intellicode Garage Door Openers - Model G1T , Black - G1T 2-Pack - Genie Garage Door Opener Wireless Keyless Keypad - Safe & Secure Access - Compatible with All Genie Intellicode Garage Door Openers - Easy Entry into the Garage With a PIN - Model GK-R, White - Genie Series II Garage Door Opener Wall Console - Sure-Lock/Vacation Lock for Extra Security - Light Control Button - Compatible with All Genie Series II Garage Door Openers - Model GBWCSL2-BX --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ph/products/99606078-genie-single-button-garage-door-opener-remotes-2-pack-safe](https://www.desertcart.ph/products/99606078-genie-single-button-garage-door-opener-remotes-2-pack-safe) --- *Product available on Desertcart Philippines* *Store origin: PH* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
