My physical therapist recommended heat to help relax my back muscles so I looked for a reasonable priced infrared heating pad. I found two on Amazon which had pretty good reviews so I bought both to test them out. The Graphine Times won hands down - so much so that I bought a second one a few months later. It’s a great value for the product and helps more than any other heating pad I’ve ever use. I keep one on the sofa and one on the bed. I actually sleep laying on the pad so I really appreciate the 2-hour timer. I also like the fact that the unit is thin and fairly flexible, not thick like traditional heating pads or even like the other infrared heating pad I bought at the same time as this one. I usually use the highest heat but with the summer heat, have reduced the heat sometimes and still feel relief. Interestingly, the high heat doesn’t seem as hot as a traditional heating pad, yet provides greater muscle relaxation and relief than the higher heat setting on a traditional heating pad. I recommend this heating pad whole heartedly.Follow up:I don't typically write reviews and did so because I was asked via email (by the company not Amazon). I was offered a gift if I would write a review. Apparently it is a common, legitimate practice to randomly request reviews after that item has been purchased. It is an honest review. When 5 weeks had passed after my review was posted, and I had heard nothing back from the company I inquired about the gift and heard nothing from them. It's been 7 weeks now and not a peep from the company. While I do like and use the heating pads, if I have a problem with the units, I am confident I will not get any help with a warranty issue. Makes me think twice about buying anything from this company again.Further follow upSo after almost 3 months, I not only heard from the company regarding my gift for writing a review but also received the gift - a small infrared neck heating pad. I'm happy with that pad too. Maybe they will respond with potential warranty issue if one arrises - hopefully more timely.

(UPDATE after 2 years, below!) ... and gets hot enough! I have to turn it down to the lowest setting most of the time, and it is divine.This is my first graphene far-infrared heating pad, and I love it. The heat penetrates and radiates deeper than any heating device I have ever used. It relieves my pain instantly. I use it every day. It works so well that I had to do more research into far-infrared than I had done before my purchase. I had been sold on the idea that I wasn't submitting my body to intense electromagnetic radiation like traditional heating pads, but I hadn't done much research beyond that. I have been pleasantly surprised by what I have read. There are many health benefits and the research is really promising. This heating pad is just the beginning of many more applications to come.Because I have been so happy with this incredible heating pad, I have purchased another graphene infrared heating product that is more portable. It is a waist belt that plugs into a power bank, so I can take the infrared therapy with me wherever I go. I also put the belt over a wash cloth across my eyes at night to help me battle dry eye -- it seems to be working!But this particular heating pad is really great for covering a large area at once. I can be treating my upper back and lower back simultaneously with this pad alone. I recommend this to my friends and family and anyone who will listen.My only complaint is that I worry how long it will last. While graphene is a very strong material, I worry that this heating pad is not as rugged as the ones I have used my whole life. So, like any new product, it will take some adjusting, and hopefully no breaking on my part. It's not a heating pad that I will roll the cord around to store, nor one that I will leave on my bed for my 2 year old to jump on, when I'm not looking.I truly can't recommend this enough.UPDATE: I have had this heating pad for almost 2 years now. It works just as well today as it did when I first bought it, although it looks worse for wear, and after almost 700 days of continuous use, it will probably not make it to its third birthday. I look forward to using this pad every day. It started making a popping sound a few weeks after purchase, that sounded worrisome but nothing ever came of it and seems to have kept working just fine. I think it was the graphene kind of changing shape or expanding when heated and making the velcro catch and move, but I'm not sure.

At first I was disappointed when I thought it wasn’t working. After my wife did some research we found it it takes time for you to feelthe heat. This is different than a normal heating pad. I was thrown off due to the images on Amazon and my misconceptions. At first I wrote a bad review and ordered a replacement. They responded immediately and we had one the next day. During that time. We figured out that it does work well. We like it enough that we decided to keep both. My wife and I have back issues so we can treat them at the same time. This has made a big difference in the amount of pain in my shoulder and neck. The only negative that I see so far is that it’s not very comfortable to lay on if you’re in a lot of pain. However it does work fine if you drape it.The other issue is that they should have had a better explanation of how this type of heating pad works. There was a little information in the box that it came in. They should also explain it on the Amazon ad. this was new technology for us and now I understand it better. I would recommend this product now.

The product works very well except, that as large as the pad is,it actually omly heats up a small circle in the middle. If the entire pad heated up I would give it 10 stars.
