It really works. I wanted to get a cooking method that can put a good sear on meat and have the fat drain off like using a T-Fal Optigrill (it works), broiling with a pyramid silicone mat and a George Foreman grill. When I first unpacked it, I thought there were too many pieces and too big hindering it from getting hot enough but found both assumptions to be false. I thought the bottom pieces could be combined into one but realize the parts that touch the flame have a top quality glossy black enamel finish which is probably reason for separate parts. My benefit. The BBQ oven listed here is for the larger 14 inch version and fine for 2 to 3 people. I am using a pretty typical <15k BTU burner set to medium. It will crisp and golden brown your food easily. It gets hot and hot. I deboned a chicken in order to lay the skin side flat and it came out the most crispy that I have ever cooked. Did I mention crispy skin is good especially when all the fat drains off. It is also moist because of water in the bottom pan. I noticed some of the premium appliance companies are providing nonstick titanium grilling plates and this BBQ oven has it too. It is really nonstick and browns food evenly. The lid stand built into the handle works and minimizes my search time trying to locate rarely available heat resistant counter space to put it down. There are prongs on the bottom for locking onto the burner grills preventing slipping which would be very helpful while using a portable burner. Exceeded all expectations. I actually was looking for similar grill called "russian magic gril skovoroda" that is only sold outside us. This one was the only grill that uses steam that i could find in US and it is amazing. Food tastes delicious!

It's a great, easy to use grill in the kitchen for any types of meats especially for bacons. It takes out fats and cooks well, like done by professionals. My kids love eating meats from Happycall.
