Algae had built up on the Lexan lids I custom cut over the last seven months. Some of it was not really easy to rub / fingernail off and it was slowly building up. I looked for something to solve the issue. Enter this acrylic safe scraper. Within one minute of mild pressure scrubbing, all gone, maybe some micro scratches (still smooth) but since it is the lid I am not worried about those and this was very tough if not impossible to get off the lid absent this tool. Fit my needs perfectly.

Beats using The ApI algae cleaner that I have been using for years.

it's ok. It kind of works but on tough encrusting coraline algae it's pretty ineffective. Had to end up using a credit card for the hard stuff. I know they provide a metal version for glass walls but i didn't want to take a change on quartz glass. Back to using old credit cards and some plastic sheet they work a lot better and cost way less.

very sturdy and does a good job removing the tuff green algae. Still have to use muscle to scrape it off, but better than just using a foam type of algae remover.

Like a credit card but much more substantial--thicker and with a handle to give much better leverage. Just be careful not to get the gravel stirred up as you scrape as gravel can scratch the acrylic surface.

Great for under the tank rim and waterline. Great supplement to my 16 and 22 inch aquablades

Works good cleaning acrylic tank without scratching. Large tank was a bit to awkward to clean with this so I ended up just using a microfiber cloth.

Doesnt clean acrylic tank to well!

I bought this for a freshwater tank that I had trouble cleaning with other scrapers, this one is well molded, no notches or defects in the plastic blade. The small size allows me to get in the tough to reach corners.
