Is it necessary to remove the extractor like with other bullet lasers?

I did not remove the extractor I just used the charging handle on my AR to slowly let the bolt carrier set on the laser, if you using a pistol one I just let the slide onto the laser slowly, there are instructions included with the bore sights.

I sighted at 100 yards. It's best to start out close -- 40 yards or so -- then move out to a longer distance. I think your question lists 20 FEET --- and you probably meant 20 YARDS,
