Great glow!
This product is awesome! I didn’t have any trouble with the thread breaking (as some reviews had said). The photo is of a design I put on a sweatshirt.

So cool
I made a throw. It was so much fun. The colors are so vibrant and bright.! Well, worth the money. It’s a great brand of thread. I never have to worry about breakage or tension with it. It’s great.

Let's talk about the colors and the glow
I've seen with reviews on Amazon a ridiculous trend where the review is attached to products other than the one being reviewed. So I should mention my review is for: Simthread [Long Glow Duration] Embroidery Machine Thread Glow in The Dark Thread 6 Colors 550 Yards..I purchased this to use for some intricate string art that I want to be both UV reactive and glow. Typically anything that glows in the dark is also UV Reactive but not necessarily vice versa. Luckily this product features both. However, I'm giving this product four stars for two reasons in particular. The first reason is that the thread listed as yellow here is definitely closer to green than it is to yellow. You can kind of see in the product listing photo that it's not a true yellow. But what showed up it is even less like the yellow pictured and very close to the green that they provide you. See my attached pictures for reference. It should be mentioned that my pics were not filtered or altered beyond the default alteration of the camera on the Google Pixel phone. The other reason I'm giving this four stars is because I am 100% positive that the colors that are provided can be recreated to glow in the dark in the same colors. I think most people only experience glow in the dark products glowing in green. I have multiple glow in the dark collectibles that glow these exact colors in a pitch black room with no ambient light. There is such thing as white, blue, pink, and even gray glow.I don't have the secret behind achieving a glow in those colors. I assume it involves mixing your own phosphorescent (glow) pigment or ink and combining the colors that exist in different amounts to give you more color range. Since it is possible it would be nice if the glow in these threads matched their color. You can see from my photos that the pink thread has an orange glow and the rest of them are all just a different shade of green glow. The gray and blue threads do have a more metallic green glow but that may only standout when it is on the spool and may not be that noticeable when looking at an individual strand. If you have experience with Glow pigment and products you will know that there is no such thing as glow lasting longer than 1 to 2 minutes even when charged with the best possible light you could charge it with. For my pics I did use the best possible light you could charge them up with which is a UV Beast flashlight. I actually have both of their top flashlights for each main UV light spectrum. You can see how I listed those spectrums in my collage photo. This thread definitely features a pigment that allows the glow to last longer than most. Because of that I have no intention of returning this and will make use of this thread.

Really glows
This thread really glows when exposed to sunlight anyway and I’m sure in black light situations. It of course will not retain the glow forever, it needs to be recharged by light, but it was fun to use on Halloween, moon, and glowing type embroideries.

Works Perfectly!
Love the variety of colors and versatility of this glow-in-the-dark thread! Used the pink, blue, and gray for the glow-in-the-dark cats and they all worked perfectly!

Beautiful. Use a size 14 needle, not a top stitch either.
I was using a top stitch size 14 at first and that sharp tip kept shredding the thread. Changed to a regular size 14 and it worked beautifully. I just messed around doing some free motion but I’m totally in love. And I used one of the threads that seemed to be on the dinner side. I can’t imagine what the really brute ones are goin to look like. I’d so buy again. It’s really fun to use. I have tons of ideas already.

the thread shreds very quickly and easily
I tried all needle types and sizes from 11 to14, microtec/embroidery/janome pink and blue/metallic, best combination was the janome Pink needle. I have a janome 550E machine, speed slowed down to 500 and the white and grey threads worked best with few breakages. However, ALL of the other colours shredded and broke at the needle eye after only150 stitches on average, so pretty much useless. I would not buy these again as the quality between spools is very wide ranging an unpredictable. I did manage a snowflake in all white ok though, only 10 breaks in 35,000 stitches. Overall not worth the expense or wait, very disappointed.

They are good if you have a black light.
They don't glow in the dark well but if you use a black light on them they glow amazingly. I use them in combination with uv reactive string to do cool affects with string art.

Unstickbar
