The power cord on the one that I received is 76 inches. If you exclude the strain relief and the plug, it's 6 feet.

Can this unit also be used as an orbital sander?

This can not be used as a sander. There are no attachments for sanding.

what size terry cloth bonnets fit for refills?

6 to 8" bonnets will fit nicely.

Does this device use hook and loop type bonnets ?

No. The bonnets cover the pad and have elastic. The foam pad is dark grey/black from the picture you can see total coverage of the pad. Part # A38BB11
