This watch is for the people who want a dependable watch that takes a beating and keeps good time.
Sturdy and well designed watch. This is my second watch (lost the original) and I would not trade it for any other watch. Battery lasts forever as long as the backlight isn’t used to often. Different functions: timekeeping, alarm, countdown timer and stopwatch. Almost indestructible - I personally witnessed an 18 wheel truck drive over a G-SHOCK watch without a scratch ! !

Timeless classic
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Still an excellent brand. You can't go wrong with the classic G shock watch. I love that the numbers are easy to see and that there's a backlight for viewing the time in the dark. I also love that this watch is water resistant and can take abuse. Bought it for my boyfriend's birthday gift because my own baby G shock has been such an excellent watch and has lasted me years without having changed the battery

Great watch and durable
This was a gift for my nephew for christmas, big boy wanted a watch. He uses it everyday to go to school, he runs, plays soccer and honestly the watch is still going strong. It was the perfect size for his wrist. An everyday watch for him that he loves. He told me he hasn’t used the timer but loves the glow in the dark function it has.

Especially for the price, a useful, long lasting product.
This is the 2nd time I've purchased this watch. The 1st lasted 8 yrs, survived two infantry deployments to include a combat deployment, survived countless high velocity impacts with hard surfaces, and sustained only a few minor scratches on the lens in the process. The high lens glass toughness compared to most phone screens is a credit to Casio and an embarrassment for phone manufacturers.Over the years most of the logo and label letter paint rubbed out. They're textured and still legible up close. The watch band never sustained any visible damage.I only had to change the battery once the entire time I owned it.When it broke, it was only because the water resistant seals had finally wore out, and I showered while wearing it. The lens subsequently fogged up from the inside. An hour or so later the watch shorted out. If I hadn't exposed it to that concentrated humidity in its old age, I'm confident it would have lasted quite a bit longer. It had been showered with and fully submerged in corrosive pool and rain water countless times with no difficulties during the first 5 yrs of its life.It has a number of easily accessible and useful built in features to include a stop watch and alarm. Once one gets used to these features he or she can easily use the audible beep feature to, for instance, switch from clock mode to stopwatch mode and start/stop the stopwatch without looking at the watch.I've used the glow feature many times as a subtle makeshift flashlight during training for quick reading in the dark to minimize the risk of too much light being a target indicator. It worked well and didn't seem to significantly reduce the battery life. The lack of reflective metallic surfaces makes it an ideal infantry watch. It's high durability and stopwatch makes it an ideal watch for a gym environment.Overall it's an impressive combination of low cost, high quality, durability and utility.

Great watch for the money.
I bought this because my Samsung Galaxy watch finally gave up the ghost. I've worn Casio watches since the early 80's so it's a brand I trust and like. I had a few needs such as a good backlight, a countdown timer and a large display which this watch has, for the most part anyway. It's a Gshock so you know it's going to be tough. The only real issue I have is that this watch is smaller than it appears in photos. Maybe they had small wrists and it's a perspective thing but I did hope it would be bigger. Admittedly I'm a little spoiled having used a smartwatch for the last 6-7 years but I wish I had done more research and found something with a larger display face.I was a little disappointed with the backlight, it does light up well enough to see the display at night but it goes out very quickly and it has green color instead of the blue I was used to with Casio's I've owned in the past. One negative is that the buttons are very hard to push. That would be ok if the buttons were exposed but these are tucked down inside protective walls which makes pushing the buttons unnecessarily difficult. The wrist band feels cheap (doesn't mean it is) but it fits pretty well around my wrist. I may look at a different band in the future.Other than those very minor complaints it's difficult not to really like this watch at this price point ($52 at time of purchase). I haven't had it long enough to comment on battery life so that'll have to wait until it finally dies. I have no problem recommending this watch.

Nothing Beats the Value of a G-Shock
Can't beat a G-Shock for reliability and accuracy. It's perfect for hiking and working out. Very easy to set up date, time and, timer. All for under $30. Unbeatable.
