Even a used copy is expensive, but so worth it! As a China specialist specializing in Republican/Nationalist China, I haveknown about the Cambridge series. Even after all of these years and the advances in research, this volume is still one of the best for a comprehensive overview of a complex subject. Expensive yes, but well worth it. The book came faster than expected and in good condition. Very happy with the service from the vendor and Amazon...reliable, speedy, andefficient! One can not ask for anything more. D.Lee
