This seller NEEDS to re-due this listing! They had it set up for selling covers for the JK's but now they are selling them for JL's using this same listing. There is a size difference! Most of the reviews are still for JK's before the JL came in to being starting to be made in the middle of 2018. The more recent reviews and pictures for owners of the newer JL models are accurate so pay attention to ONLY those reviews. This is a GREAT cover and seems to be very well made, but will only work on a JL. Their listing pictures are good except for the one which shows the measurements. They need to change that one because the measurements shown are still for the smaller cover that fits the JK models; 6.49 inches in diameter. The cover you will receive now is 7 1/8 inches in diameter since it is made for the JL models because the hole in the side of the JL Jeep is larger. I have a 2019 JL 4 door Sport S so this cover worked great and was easy to install once I managed to get the non-covered fuel ring setup removed, which was not real easy to do. Once that was done though putting this cover in was very easy and fit perfectly. Love this upgrade! Didn’t follow the install instructions though (that had me going through the taillight). Found a YouTube video and was able to easily install it with a single tool.

The install wasn't too bad. I did notice that the gas nozzle has a bit more wiggle room with this installed. It's more noticeable when you go to pump gas for the first time after the install. The quality is alright but definitely looks better than not having a fuel tank door at all. The rubber that surrounds the door install has some gaps in but again, this product is still cheaper than the mopar part and gets you that desired look at a fraction of the cost -- you do get what you pay for though.

Bought for my wife's Jeep since her Jeep didn't have a gas cap cover, just an opening and the cap. Fit's very well, easy to install. Hardest part is getting the old one off. Not hard, just have to pull the tail light and, the tough part, reach the clips holding the old unit in. Still not a bad job at all. Works so well I bought and installed another one for a friend.

I ordered this on April 26, 2022 and installed immediately upon receipt. The install was simple in concept and challenging to execute. It did not line up properly and was hard to manipulate my hand in and awkwardly small space to get it to lock in. That said it never was flush with the surface of the JL and shows a slight 0.5-1cm gap at the top and on the sides. Yesterday I noticed that the door hinge was wobbling and seems likely to break off. As I am writing this on 7/23/2023, a mere 15 months later is sad. They clearly use low grade materials in the construction of this product. Do yourself a favor and get something better. If you have any recommendations, let me know. I am now on the look out for a better product.

Easy to instal and perfect fit! Really makes the jeep look nicer!

Didn't fit, could have been my fault. Plastic was cracked when it here.It is cheap, basically a fragile plastic bowel with a metal lid, would not recommend to others.Decided to toss in the trash rather than deal with a return.

Ok, got it installed with no trouble. However, the instructions do not indicate which way the gasket is supposed to face, and it does make a difference. So, I tried both ways, and then selected one with the chamfer facing towards to gas tube in the Jeep. Once installed, the door did not close all the way, but with some strong pushing on the gas tube, it had clearance. The gas cap retainer is now too short, it was fine with the original setup, and the too-short retainer interferes with turning the gas cap to remove and replace the cap. This cover should come with a longer replacement retainer. There is also a small amount of play in the gas door hinge. Seems like the spring should be stronger. Looks good, but not fully satisfied with final fit and finish. If it wasn't so much trouble to remove, I'd send it back and try another from a difference vendor.
