This horn comb is absolutely beautiful. It was carved with care, and it shows. Using bone for the comb helps in not damaging my hair, which I will always choose.

I bought 2 of these. I was planning on giving one as a Christmas present and saving the other for a gift later on in the year. When I got them I was expecting them to be pretty but they were prettier than the picture showed. I am VERY happy I got them. The 2 I got also came with a drawstring protective bag which is a great feature for a comb that should never be dropped. The person I gave the comb to is very happy with it. she has long hair and horn combs slide almost effortlessly through hair. She said she uses it now every day and loves it - in fact, she stopped me at a church function to tell me how much she loves her new comb.

I'm so glad I didn't follow my first thought which was to get several of these as gifts. The sale image is lovely!Look at why I got. Hamfisted haphazard and simplified carving and unevenly glued in eyes. The one on the right literally looks like it is ashamed at being so busted and crusted.Now, the comb works because it's, well, a comb. And it does sink in water which means it's not cheap plastic. But yeah it's goofy looking and you could buy a serviceable non goofy looking comb for much less.I think it's weird I'm the first photo review. Did everyone else get a comb that wasn't hideous or are they, well.......

comb arrived promptly. It was far better quality than I expected. I wanted a finer tooth comb to really massage the scalp and distribute the oils and this did the trick. It worked wonders. Would definitely buy again for myself or as gifts. Beautifully hand carved makes it one you would like to display.

Much stronger than I thought it would be. I do think, as other commenters have mentioned, that over time the feathers on the chest of the birds may flake off.Yes, the comb stinks when you get it wet but that is the nature of a bone come. I suggest a wood comb if you want to comb your hair wet.
