A bit of a wake-up.
In shopping for a high performance intake for my 2006 LS2, wanting to remain minimally modified, I purchased this KN 63-3052 intake. It installed in 45 minutes, no glitches, excellent fit and finish. Because of the conservative increase rating of 10.5 hp, I had no wild expectations. The change in sound on acceleration is nicely modest, perhaps more throaty, but I was surprised to have the tires break loose in mid first gear. Midrange was undoubtedly stronger and I'm sure top end is also. I'll be waiting to see if mileage increases, but it will be no surprise if it does, substantially. More pricey than Vararam, but in a warm climate, I will have no concerns about decreasing engine cooling. I continue to be a fan of KN products.

Great air intake
I installed this on my 2007 C6 base corvette and love it. The stock air intake is crap. The K&N did seem the give the performance a little boost and the engine/stock exhaust sounds better and more like a V8 should.

Looks Great, plus the same K&N performance you always expect
This is a great looking piece of airflow equipment, plus it has a fantastic look to it. Five out of Five stars*****I almost dropped a star because the airflow element filter that came to me in plastic wrap was soaked in the oil K&N uses, All the other pieces of the equipment come very well packed. If the element - filter is extra oily with your upcoming install, wipe it down and get as much oil off as you can. It will leak out onto a garage floor after the engine warms up and you re-park it again. This is not a big issue as much as it is just a bit of a possible mess.I'm giving the install 4 of 5 stars because it is a very snug fit. **** Although that is not a bad thing. The install takes about an hour to hour and a half because the plastic air tube replacement between the air element and throttle body is a very snug fit. Lastly slipping the element onto the tube and attaching it to the front of the engine bay is a tight fit. Use some big towels to protect your fenders as you will need to lean over. Use patience and it will slip on however. Follow the directions on hooking everything up as the instructions are well in order. ***Watch when taking out your original air element that came on the car because the rubber bushings they want you to reuse can slip off of the original equipment and fall further into the car's front end. I lost one of mine while doing this but the element nonetheless still fits very snug.***Overall, this is a beautiful piece of equipment and the carbon fiber gives it that retro awesome look on the element body. Plus this makes your air filter equipment pretty much maintenance-less while allowing MAX air-flow. Another great job and product by the folks at K&N.I recommend one if you're just looking to improve your airflow.

K&N Aircharger for 2007 Corvette V8-6.0L
Amazon did have the best price in town. Looks like their prices have gone up. The kit was received on time. It was boxed well. There was a slight scratch on the mounting bracket. Rather than sending the item back, I repainted it myself. The instructions for setup were very simple and easy to understand. It took approximately ½ hour to install the unit. Once the installation was completed, I checked for air leaks and found none. I took my vehicle out for a test drive to see if I had any horse power gains. The Hp gain was slight and did not feel like 10 extra Hp minus one star. The only way to tell how much extra Hp gain I got is to have it put on a dyno. The K&N air intake had a normal sound until I floored the gas pedal and found it to be louder than the original stock system. The K&N unit is much better than the stock original equipment. I am happy with my new K&N aircharger.

Noticeable speed and sound! Highly recommend
If you want to add a little pep to your corvette then this is the way to go! There is also a louder sound when accelerating. You notice the difference right away! I’m looking to upgrade the exhaust system to match this perfect airflow air intake for an even better performance and sound!

parts didn't fit
I ordered this for a 2008 C6. The intake body didn't fit. I had to hack-saw 1/2 inch of of it. Then the hose clamps to attach the filter to the body were too small to fit. Had to go to the hardware store to get larger clamps. for $550, you'd think they would supply parts that fit. Wouldn't buy again!
