iRobotEnhanced Cleaning Head for Roomba

My 6-year-old Roomba 690 started squealing constantly so I took the brush box apart. God bless the Roomba folks for making this so easy to work on and providing parts. The brush gears were worn and the motor was the squealer. This did the job. She's back in action. The cleaning level is better than new based on how full she is after a cycle. Roomba gets a real Climate Pledge award for allowing us to keep these out of the land fill unlike other vendors that force us to chuck them because they are unfixable by design.

Exact fit. Had already replaced several years ago and gotten good service from it. Roomba got caught up in a bind in a temporary rental I was staying in an the housing cracked. If I get the same use from this one that I got from the previous one I will be very pleased.

I thought it was time to throw away my Roomba.This came quicker than expected with detailed instructions on installation. I am not a handy person and even I can do it.My Roomba is working again and now it’s so much quicker.

Finally decide to replace original part, it was not picking up anymore!As soon as replaced it, it was back to picking up everything in its path.Good As New.

Gave my older 675 a new lease on life. Can’t tell if it’s better than new or the same as new.

Game changer ! I am so glad we bought this . My roomba is way more quiet and it picked up dirt / hair soo much better . We have two dogs so I need this . I love how roomba makes replacement parts for all their products and how easy they are to install !

I don't even remember when I originally purchased this robot vac. I do know that I took the original cleaning head apart and removed all the stuck dog hair. It worked for about 3 years and I just was not up for all that mechanical work to take apart and put together again. I'm now on my 3rd purchase of a new head and my 690 is quieter, faster and more efficient than after simply cleaning the old head. The robot doesn't get stuck nearly as much as it was prior to replacing the head. I am hoping to get another 3 - 5 years out of this head and then I will upgrade to a newer model. This Roomba has been a game changer for the last 10 or so years. I'm so happy to have my buddy back, running faster and quieter than it has in a long time. This replacement was 4 large screws, plus the side brush screw and 4 small screws for the head. The part came with 4 new screws. I also replaced the aerovac bin at the same time, which has contributed a great deal to the upgraded operation of my Roomba (a separate product review).

This item fixed my Roomba, which was suddenly making an awful noise. Sounded like nails on a blackboard. The nylon gears in the drive section of the rollers wear out because of resistance in the roller ends caused by buildup of debris. That debris is inevitable. Clean the roller ends regularly, every time you empty the bin.Anyway, my Roomba is running like new, and much quieter than it has been in a year. My 675 is only three years old, so the brush assembly only lasts about that long. I also replaced the wheels and caster, even though those were fine. Now I have spares. I hope the brush assembly is available in three years, when I will need a new one, but cleaning the brush ends may prolong the life of this part.One other thing. The genuine Roomba part was 20% cheaper than the Chinese knockoffs.
