Good, reliable monofilament
Been using this line for over 25 years and for the money, well worth it compared to the competition. There may be some better line at higher prices but it works well for me well for mahi, wahoo and tuna along with fishing over wrecks for grouper and snapper.

Quality Fishing Line
I have been using Trilene monofilament line for years and have never had any issues. It is a basic and trusted priduct.

The standard
I have used this brand for years. I am sure there are nicer lines out there, but I am happy with the consistency and quality of this line. The price is right. Sometimes I have not changed my line from the previous year and it still holds up pretty well. I am also fishing light tackle with spinning reels. I use #10 for all size stripers and blues. My drag is set at #2 --#3. This means lots of drag pulled and the resulting line twist. I may not be able to drag the twist out at the end of the day. This does not seem to cause long term problems. Just get the twist out next time.

Strong and easy to handle
I used this line on four salmon trips in September out of Westport, Wa. The charter skippers were great at finding salmon, and when I hooked fish, this line just did its job and never gave me a concern. I used the 20 lb. clear line. It easily handled the 8-12 lb. Coho we were lucky to find and catch. It's rather nicely limp and smooth in the reel, and it cooperates when you tie knots. If you need monofilament, this is a good choice.

Excellent for Walleye
I use Berkley Trilene Big Game Monofilament (20lb. test) when fishing for walleye from shore on the Missouri river in North Dakota. Conditions are very tough on fishing line because you have to drag through various obstacles such as rocks, weeds, willow trees, etc. This line does the job as well as can be expected under these conditions and it will take a lot of damage without snapping. It does get more "memory" than some other monofilament lines I've used, but nothing so bad as to prevent me from continuing to use it. I use this line on spinning and spincasting reels without any problems. The last walleye I caught in 2010 was just over 10 lbs. and I was glad I had Big Game on my reel.Update: 2011-09-25**********************I like this line so well I bought two more spools.Update: 2015-05-07***********************I still continue to use this line on my reels. Also, I remembered that I took a picture of the fish I caught on the last day of fishing back in 2010 and decided to upload it so that people know I meant it when I said I caught a 10-pound walleye on this fishing line.

Only monofiliment leader I use
I have been using Trilene big game 30# monofilament exclusively for inshore saltwater fishing for 30 years. Nothing else seems to tolerate the harsh conditions of the Texas Gulf coast. I use 10-14# braid with this as a leader. Very abrasion resistant.

Good line.
I'm not an expert on fishing line but I haven't had any trouble with this so far. I was able to spool my own reel fairly easily and I haven't had any trouble with this line twisting up on me while I fish which is something I've definitely dealt with when using cheaper fishing line. I wish I could tell you that I landed a 60 pound beauty on this line but, alas, I can't. Biggest thing I've caught with this is a few pound bass.
