Worked as described.
The sidewalk edger was delivered and put together in short order. It has worked well on the first use and is much easier to use than the manual edger I used previously. Now months later, this sidewalk edger continues to be an outstanding purchase. But, I do occasionally use the manual edger when the sidewalk needs only a lite touch up

Lightweight edger, that's strong, and cuts beautifully.
I bought this edger for myself, because I can't use my husbands large, HEAVY, and cumbersome power tools. My husband saw it, and immediately had to go "try it out".... (ahem). He LOVED it, so much, he almost got the entire driveway and sidewalk done, before it got too dark. I didn't even get to try it out the first day.... LOL. BUT, THAT'S OKAY WITH ME.( He liked it better than his big, HEAVY duty edger)This edger has passed the " husband" test, in our household, and that's a "biggie", and just fine with me. THANKS...SCOTTS, for a great product, and one that we BOTH CAN USE, without lots of strain and struggle, to get our sidewalk and driveway edged. Ours is a very large, and long driveway, and this does the trick. LOVE THIS EDGER!

Tough tool
This little guy chews through those yard edges quickly and efficiently. Live to see those sparks fly as the blade kisses the concrete !

Edger--> Awesome! Doubles as a Magic Chiropractor in a box!
Puts together very easily! Plug it in and start rolling! Cut through the areas around my flower beds and sidewalks like a warm knife through butter. Then I had this invisible dog fence my wife was on me to install. I used the edger to cut my small trench to lay my wire lickity split. But wait there is more. I then had wanted to place by Dynatrap in the back corner of my yard but had no electric and never wanted to dig and lay the conduit..... Now I had just the tool. In no time I was easily placing conduit in a small trench that this beast of a machine created and now have a mosquito free back yard A+++ Scotts.

Far better than any line trimmer I've used
Has plenty of power to cut through thick patches of lawn edges. No fighting with jammed cutting line, and functions as expected. Assembly instructions could be improved.

Works Great
Purchased three of these tillers one for both daughters and myself. They didn’t disappoint! Works great for tilling our flower beds and easy enough for us “girl” to use! Highly recommend would most definitely buy again!

Works ok, hard to assemble, seems refurbished
I ordered a new Scotts edger, but what I got seems to be either after market or refurbished. The directions stated to ensure the labels were face up, but there were no labels. The middle pole was all scratched up and seemed to be repainted by a spray can post manufacturing. The electrical connection looked like it was re-spliced at some point and then put back together with a sloppy rubber compound, and the bolt that was provided for the additional handle was too short to reach the threads on the wing nut even after squeezing the 2 sides together. I had to go to a hardware store to buy a longer bolt to attach the handle. Finally, the electrical connection had to be manipulated just right to fit into the space provided before you could screw the handle to the motor. Not a simple task.Once assembled, the edger worked ok. The blad spins backwards and will kick back if you are not deep into the edging surface and it seemed to rip some weeds out instead of cutting them.Overall, I think you get what you pay for. This edges, but not to a very high standard. Also, if you are taller, the handle is not adjustable, only the additional handle is adjustable. I'm 6 feet tall and have to bend over to edge our sidewalks.
