I've restored a 1940 tub, and used this product to complete the pipe drain and overflow connections for it.This has completed the look for this beautiful, antique tub now.

The headline answered the first question that enters most peoples minds. I was concerned about buying this online and having to return it. But there is plenty adjustment to compensate for drain/over flow variances and even some angle offset. It was no secret that the pipe was plastic but what I found was that the drain and over flow seem to be very quality. They are a non ferrous material ( assume brass/copper) and are stout with good appearance and quality threading and fitment. I would give it 5 stars if it was not plastic pipe but really that may be an advantage with plastic offering more flexibility for alignment ? Good looking and priced very fairly, I would buy again.

At first I loved this drain assembly, but it hasn't been installed that long and the drain plug doesn't keep the water in the tub. half the time when you push the plug down the rubber ring around it folds up and doesn't create suction as all. Even after flipping the ring down it still leaks water out of the tub. I've tried everything I could think of to make it work and have given up. Also it's not a solid black material, it's a black film over it and said film is already peeling off. This shower/bath tub is not used heavily and there should be no reason that its peeling off. Everything in the bathroom is brand new and now I have a tub drain plug that doesn't plug and looks bad with peeling film. I would've given negative stars if I could.

Was too short for my bath tub. Had to make custom extension. Not for DYIers. Need to have plumbers skills
