ACDelcoACDelco GM Original Equipment 12680871 Active Fuel Management Valve Lifter

Good part worked in my 2008 avalanche and repaired a frozen lifter due to oil pressure filter becoming halfway clogged

I had a problem with noisy lifters and irregular Engine Idle in my 2008 Chevy Avalanche truck.I purchased a complete set of AFM replacement parts including all 16 lifters (8 solid and 8 AFM lifters), camshaft, all gaskets etc. from an Ebay seller but one day after replacement and successful startup I had the same problem again. Turned out the new AFM lifters failed the same way the old ones did. I ordered 8 of these to do it all over again. It sure looks like these AC Delco lifters are build to a much higher quality .I learned my lesson now and I will never buy after market again.

This lifter failed virtually right it was installed. Had to start all over. Upon inspection, the oil drain hole in the middle was approximately one third the size of the OEM lifters in the truck. Went to a dealership and bought another one, let them inspect this product and they verified it was defective. Maybe I was just unlucky but I wish that had just gone to dealer to begin to save the extra work of doing this all over again.

Have been awesome since replacing all 8 on a 2013 Escalade. Did complete overhaul but has been worth it. Make sure you get the new manifold cover as it was upgraded as a tech told me the old one installed at the factory had a design flaw which contributes to the many lifter failures in those mode engines

As these gm 5.3 engines age and maintenance levels are stretched to crazy mileage these will fail. I wish the aftermarket like Dorman would make these and drive down the price. Way too much money for Chevy lifters.

Exact match, I only have an hour of running and about 20 miles driven on the new lifter.

Great quality, just make sure to pre-oil.
