Really great coffee table book if you are into you watches.Along with some great well known vintage pieces there are lots of lesser know pieces that are very cool.Great photographs of great watches, what more could you ask for.I would recommend a copy to anybody looking to get in to vintage watches or if you are a seasoned collector already.

Great book that is seeminly aimed specifically at me covering a wide range of vintage Chronographs predominately from the mid to late 20th Century. Alistair is clearly a knowledgeable man of discerning taste! Highly recommended.

I didn’t necessarily have high expectation re. this book (only took it to max out a gift certificate), but was pleasantly surprised:A large portion of this book is dedicated to vintage chronographs from off-the-beaten-path brands, the photos are nice, and printing and paper quality are adequate. The text is so-so (very descriptive), but given what this book aims to achieve, it don’t think this is a major drawback.

This book is superb. All the information you could possibly hope for from a true aficionado of classic/vintage time-pieces. Very detailed, very well researched & competently put together. STUNNING photos of some stunning watches. Every page is a horologists dream. Buy this book before buying the watch! Highly recommended to all who are considering purchasing a vintage watch either for the first time or for the seasoned, professional collector. Essential to own. Outstanding!

Fantastic coffee table book on classic / vintage watches. Well written and great photographs . The format is a thing of beauty and is an absolute bargain for a book of this quality. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this book as I have an interest in watches and a growing interest in vintage pieces.The photos are great and make me want to look up most of the timepieces on eBay!Descriptions are detailed but easy to read and are written in a completely non-geeky manner!

Great read, very interesting, a must have for enthusiasts with a particular interest in vintage chronograph watches. Great photos and information on every watch within the book.
