My Breville toaster oven died completely. I was thinking that now's the chance to get a new one with air fryer option. But then, $300. So I thought maybe I could find a way to fix this one. Quick Google search and one Youtube video later, I was ready to pull the trigger on one of these little thermal fuses. Since they are essentially the fuse that provides power to the toaster, it makes sense that the complete deadness (no light, heat, display or anything) was due to this fuse.Before spending any money though, I took the thing apart, guided by the video. Many screws later I was able to expose the alleged part and I was able to read directly on it (with a magnifying glass) that it was rated for 172C degrees and 10A. You don't want to mess with those numbers. I ordered this part from Amazon and got 5 of them for like $7. Definitely worth trying on a machine that I would only throw away otherwise. I did also order an assortment of wire crimps to make the connections as suggested in the video. I was able to complete the project 2 days later with great success so far- meaning it still works.You have to be somewhat handy to make this fix but for me, it was totally worth it. I can now make the repair 4 more times with no additional cost. :-)

I ordered these for replacement in my air fryer. They need pinch connections instead of supposed to be soldered. The one we replaced has lasted longer than the original one

My wife's air fryer quit working after six months. Googled it and found that the probable cause was the thermal fuse. I opened up the air fryer and found the thermal fuse had blown. Ordered a pack of five through Amazon. Swapped out the blown fuse and the fryer is working again. My wife is very happy.

This thing is a lifesaver, after a quick youtube, I found the exact problem. Looked at the fuse's number. Amazon'ed it. Received and replace it. Air fryer works as good as new now! Saved me from throwing it out. Made some delicious egg rolls and baguettes in it.
