Wish I had found this a long time ago!
This works like magic. I use it on my MacMini, and windows 10 Desktop. Works with different software with tons of built in presets. You can also create your own custom key settings. I use it on software such as Final cut, photoshop, lightroom, 3shape design, autocad, etc. This is a life saver and not to mention its easy on your wallet too. Best value out there for anything in its class. I've seen it outperform some products 3X its price! This has saved me hours of my editing time. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great editing companion.

Sleek, ergonomic, and I literally can't work without it.
Contour's Shuttle has been a part of my recording setup going back to the late 90s. I used to use it with Digital Performer when I owned and ran my own recording business, and it made light work of editing. When I sold my company and joined a larger studio that was using a different DAW, all I needed to do was map the functions I needed to the same keys on my Contour, and I was up and running! When that later model came up offering more keys, I jumped on it. I now have one at the studio I work for, one in my home setup, and a third in my travel bag. In a world where products like Streamdeck are gaining popularity, the Contour is still my go-to for efficient editing. I have never used a trackball- which makes me the odd ball as a Pro Tools user.

WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
THE GOOD:The hardware is OK, I like the shape, the dials, jog wheel etc. Buttons are loud but usable. The only hardware problem I have had, is that I had to plug it in directly to the PC (will not work even with the high quality powered USB hub).THE BAD:The software is an absolute piece of trash. I have spent 2 hours programing buttons, then (by curiosity) clicked RESTORE FACTORY SETTINGS and all my custom profiles got permanently erased. The App looks super tiny small on 4K monitor. One cannot have multiple profiles for the same App. When the program is started the mouse profile does not switch automatically to the executed program. After installation the program is loaded with tons of profiles which I do not want, do not care to use and there is no way to do a batch delete. Removing them one by one would take an entire day.I worked with this device dor about 2 days, then suddenly 2 profiles I assigned and configured stopped working completely. I tried to reassign buttons and the jog, and the device stopped reacting to assignments, but kept just the general Global Settings.I contacted the company , then after 3 days I got response which was ratherr rude and did not help at all. They used known old song - "Hey You Are The Only One having problems."I think this product has a great potential but only if the software gets fixed. Information, drivers and software for this product is also one big mess. there are different sites keeping different drivers, version and documentation.I wish the buttons are more quiet (ie. like typical mouse buttons). Until the software gets updated and fixed I would not want this for free.RETURNING IT

Jog for joy in Vegas with the ShuttlePro 2
I hate learning keystroke shortcuts( I use too many programs & have too little disk space left in my grizzled conk for all their individual hieroglyphics) & even as mouse-friendly as Vegas is, it slows you down a lot if you can't use shortcuts effectively. The SP2 is a godsend.I have barely scratched the surface of programmable options on this device but straight out of the box & with the presets already in Vegas, I fell in love with the thing. The spring-loaded variable speed shuttle/ fame-by-frame jogwheel alone are drool-worthy tools.I now use my left hand for the mouse and the occasional keyboard command & my right for the ShuttlePro to achieve a much more efficient, literally two-fisted, workflow.I'm sure I'll keep it primarily for my NLE but it's nice to know I could use it with a host of other programs if the need arose. There are all kinds of helpful resources on the net & built into the software for button function maps & even printable labels. It's bigger than I expected(fine for my girlie-man nerd hands but might cramp the bear-paw endowed) & I agree with other users that a better wrist-rest might be helpful for long sessions but it feels well-made,easy to set up with supplied disk.No problems with Win7 Pro 64bit OS.Wireless USB connectivity would be peachy as well. At least a USB port, rather than fixed cable, on the device itself so you could avoid cable hassle if you wanted to use it on another computer.Fast shipping & good tracking/communication from seller at a good price.

Fantastic tool!
Fantastic unit! Im a video editor and this is a dream to use. Learning curve is a little something to get used to, especially when you are used to commands on a keyboard but once you work your way through that, this tremendously speeds up your workflow. All the buttons are fully programmable with any sequence of keystrokes you can imagine. You also can program them to be modifier keys such as shift alt and ctrl. Last but not least, if you program certain keyboard short cuts inside of your editing software, you can incorporate the modifier keys on your keyboard to work in tandem with the keys on the shuttle pro which will allow you more than 15 shortcut options as long as you incorporate a modifier key from your keyboard. Very slick accessory.
