I spent a month checking out single serve coffee makers...it was impossible to find what I was looking for. I was really surprised, and only the Casara coffee maker checked every box.I wanted one that makes coffee very hot, a small footprint, great tasting coffee and very important, a timer! Nothing like waking up to the smell of fresh coffee!I had never heard of this brand and was a bit skeptical. However, although I have only had it two days, it has surpassed my expectations. The unit is very simple to use, efficient, and makes very great coffee. I usually make my coffee in a funnel pouring water slowly over it...that technique makes excellent coffee? However, I wanted a cup to be waiting for me when I woke up...this was the perfect unit.Also, the cup that comes with it works extremely well. It stays cool on the outside and the coffee is hot when I drink it. The only downside is if you turn this cup upside down it leaks a little from the cover. Since I never hold my cup upside down when I am drinking, this small issue has not affected me, but you should be aware of it.As I have only had the coffee maker 2 days, I will update my review if anything relevant happens. Try it, I don’t think you will be disappointed. Oh, did I mention it is very easy to clean?!

Slim size, clear display, easy to use timer, great stainless steel travel mug, fast, not louder than any other coffee maker I've ever used, coffee is piping hot and tastes great.The built-in reusable filter works fairly well, but I prefer to add paper filters. A previous commenter recommended #185 filters, but they're too large. Size #1 filters are designed for one-cup coffeemakers like this.

The coffee maker is great, very practical and slim. The only thing I didn't like is the cup, which is very low quality, made of plastic and doesn't keep the coffee hot for more than 40 minutes. Overall, I think it's a good purchase, specially if you don't plan on using the cup to keep your coffee hot too long.

We had to purchase a used unit, because the Wirsh we have had for 3 years just stopped working. Over the last 10 years, we have ordered and have used 4 of these little gems that actually steam-brew the coffee all thru the process. When it's finished brewing, a great cup of coffee is there to wake you up! Two of the units were Casara, and now it's called Wirsh. One of the four units did not work when we got it; fortunately, Amazon must have known it was not going to work and had already credited my account the $32.04. I had ordered another one just to have it for an emergency. Honestly, these coffee makers are not expensive to buy; so I don't complain if I need a new one.We take the coffee maker on trips, because the coffee is so good! Basically, I hope Wirsh will continue this product.Please don't stop selling these espresso machines for the best coffee at the best price!

I already have a super nice coffee pot, with all the bells and whistles. However, since my spouse stopped drinking coffee I feel like my current coffee pot takes up too much room for one. I was considering instant, to coffee bags like tea. I didn't want the universal waste of the pods. Nor did I want the hassle to clean a reusable pod. I stumbled across this pot and saved it to my wish list. WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG!?!? Please consider the cost. If you have an already fancy unit, or you're used to one this one may seem cheap. It is. It's cheap. ...but I love how simple it is. Doesn't have a warming plate. It's one cup. Drink it. It's brews so quickly!! I use the provided cup as my "pot", and pour into my extra large mug I love. Fills it right to the top!. Has a basket you can wash. I'm lazy, and got the#1 filter size. Super small, and less than a $1 a box. Prefilled an entire bag with 2 scoops in each filter, and placed in an airtight container. My mornings just got A LOT EASIER. No need to "turn it off"...does so on its own. Even has a clock. The provided cup is tall and there's no mess, my mug is shorter and had some water splash. The mug has a to go lid if you chose to just use it. Love this item, and so glad I bought it for less than our last pizza night!

Love the size, the convenience and how quick it brews coffee! But after only a few uses it just stopped working. I would turn it on and then it would flash and make a clicking sound but not turn on. It was very strange as I didn't do anything different. I put in for a replacement because im hoping it was just a one off and that the next one will be fine because I do absolutely love the maker itself. fingers crossed!

Perfect for single use coffee/one cup. Brews nice and hot. Easy to use and program to have your coffee ready to drink upon waking up; and the included travel mug is a big plus! No issues at all and have used daily for 3 months. The ONLY thing I would keep in mind is, after brewing leave the top lid open for an hour so that it "airs out" and prevents mold or buildup, because I have noticed not opening the top lid after brewing doesn't allow it to dry out after each cycle! Highly recommend this coffee maker overall and would purchase it again!

I previously wrote a review on this, and strangely, after looking at every review, mine was no longer posted. So, here goes...It arrived in a box that had been torn, but I figured it was the coffee maker I wanted, so the box didn't matter...then I got down to a couple of problems, the biggest of which was that it never made a full cup of coffee. Also, the scoop had been placed where the water went, and so I had to get rid of the water, and begin again. It was also cheaply made, so my title pretty much describes it all.
