Really basic stand; works very well
[EDIT: Nov 4, 2011] I had originally bought this to be my temporary stand while I waited for the PadPivot to be released. Turns out I love this stand more than the PadPivot. Hoorah!Original Post:---This stand is worth every penny. This is a no-frills adjustable stand that works very well for my Motorola Xoom. I got it as my hold-over until I finally get my PadPivot (still in manufacturing). It doesn't have any sort of fancy features. It is very stable and sturdy. And it folds up flat and fits neatly in my jacket pocket as well as in any of my bags. You'll need to use a flat surface with the stand... well, most of the time. Oddly enough, I used it in my car to hold my Xoom on my steering wheel (while parked for over an hour, *NOT* while driving). I just tucked the arm under the center of the steering wheel and adjusted to fit. The part that hangs onto the bottom of the tablet held very well. It was very nicely adjustable to reduce sun glare, etc. And it was very stable and sturdy in that position. That's a bonus feature that I'm sure was completely unintended. If you spend much time waiting in your car, it might be of value to you. Just slide your seat backward and enjoy. In the car, I used mine along with the Motorola Wireless Keyboard for Motorola ATRIX and XOOM without any discomfort and got a good hour of real work done. Of course you could use it to watch a movie or play a game if you preferred.Amazon is very good with refunds in case you don't love it... but I think you will be very happy with it.

Works great with "tough" cases!
Love love love this product! Very well constructed, lightweight, easy to set up and fold back down (my 5 year old can do it). We have 2 iPads. One is in a Griffin Survivor case and the other is in a Gumdrop tech series case. The Griffin case comes with a flimsey, awkward stand that broke after only 6 months of use -- which is why I was looking for new stand. The Gumdrop case didn't come with a stand.I wasn't sure if this stand would work when the iPads were in their cases, but it was inexpensive enough that I thought I would try it and see. Great news - Griffin case fits perfectly as the grooves of the case (to fit the flimsy stand) fit perfectly into the notches on the stand. And it works for the Gumdrop as well. Even though the Gumdrop case doesn't have grooves and is thick all along the sides, it fits securely in the stand's notches. In fact, as my 5 year old was so excited to see our family ipad in the stand enabling him to watch his stories/shows etc "like a real tv" , I am in the process of ordering a second stand as I need one to use for work (which is why I bought the first one!)When I was trying to decide whether to buy, I saw some reviews that said the tilt wasn't adjustable. There is a tilt option, but it is counter-intuitive and they don't send directions. The full tilt position is when the stand is straight; to lessen the tilt, you pull the top of the stand towards your device and rest the iPad against the tip of the upright arm of the stand. I was worried that this would make iPad "tippy" but we have had no problems with this and iPad feels very secure even when it is resting against the stand in an almost upright position. No complaints here!

Perfect Little Stand!
Because my Bear Motion case does not have the option to prop up my iPad 2 in portrait mode, I bought the Arkon Fold-up Stand for Apple iPad, . . ., and I love it! I bought 2; one to keep at home and another for traveling. The neat aspect about it is that it folds up for storage and takes up very little room in whatever I put it in: my computer bag, my suitcase, my backpack's small outer pocket, etc.In seconds, I can open it up and prop up my iPad 2, and it will stay on the stand because of the rubberized pads on the back support and legs. I can prop up the iPad in both portrait and landscape modes. the legs have notches that hold the iPad in place. The legs can be adjusted for both modes, and the bottom of the legs are rubberized to keep the stand from sliding all over the place. At home, I put the iPad on the stand when I'm charging it; when I'm away, in addition to using it for charging, it sits on the nightstand and serves as an alarm clock stand or nightlight or for whatever else I need it for. If I had room on my home desk, I'd use it to prop up books for typing purposes because it makes a great book stand, too.One aspect that could be improved would be the one support it has for the back of the iPad. I wish the back support was a bit wider because when I type on the iPad while it's sitting on the stand, the iPad jostles a bit. Primarily, I use the stand for holding the iPad, not for when I am typing on it. For the money, it is surprisingly sturdy and serves its purpose well.
