Expensive but you won't regret it
Found these were a god-send for covering patches of skin lost in a cycling accident. You can sleep soundly in the knowledge they won't budge, but you do have to make sure you don't get the adhesive edges on and sore patches as they will take the skin off. Check the size against your injuries - wish they did a slightly larger one, but I just about got away with it.100% recommend as they stop the misery of removing dried-on dressings and the stress things coming loose in the night - also stops your clothes getting messed-up.

I can't believe how well these work
I mildly scalded my arm in an awkward place and kept bumping it against things. A regular bandage was irritating, so I bought these. They provide a protective cushioning and a moist healing environment. I've had mild scalds before and not bothered with a dressing, but this has healed up really well in comparison. No scab has formed at all. Please note that if you do have a bad scald or burn you should go to A&E and not just slap one of these on it.

Like all Hydrocoloid you need to warm these to surface body temp first
They don't stick as well as compeed and aren't as malleable which makes adhesion a little hit and miss. With these style of bandages you need to warm them by either by holding it between your palms (if they are big enough - mine aren't), sitting on them (whilst still wrapped), putting them between your thighs or sticking them inside your bra (if you are female - this actually is faster than the other methods. Give it 10 mins and by that time the dressing is a lot more flexible and the adhesion improves significantly. However, I ended up putting an additional traditional dressing over the top to make sure it didn't peel off because of movement during sleep. Even with this the top portion detached but was held in place by the traditional dressing on top, thankfully this was not on the wound. If you take it off early you need to use water in order not to rip new fragile skin away - once you have an edge peeled, pour water directly in-between the skin and the dressing; be gentle and patient. Even with these flaws (compeed is far superior just doesn't come in these sizes), the healing generated is incredibly fast regardless and involves less scarring, you just need to be familiar with how these types of bandages work. Pity the instructions do not mention warming them in the instructions as I imagine the reviews here would be far better if they did.

Best value for money
Compared to other patches this one is by far the best value. It's comfy and helping me with burn wounds that I don't even feel.

Average
Was hoping they’d be as good as reviews but even with warming them up in my hands the adhesive is below average, they’re being used on the top of the foot so unless they are to go barefoot in the winter to stop the dressings coming up when warm in sock ect they’re not that helpful, could have saved some money and not bothered

Plasters
Haven’t used yet but think they are good

Effective, but very adhesive!
I use these dressings as someone with HS. I feel it’s important to note that these dressings are quite large and thick, and made entirely of the hydrocolloid material (no cotton or soft plaster on the edge), which has its pros and cons. For example, while I initially found the size difficult to work with on certain areas of the body, I now find them really effective as I can trim them to the right size, which makes the pack last much longer too. While I have found them useful for covering and heal any wounds, they adhere so well at times that they can be quite painful to remove from the skin - even after a few days! This can be helped a little by removing them while in the bath or shower, but chances are they will snag - especially if they’re touching any hair - just a heads up. Overall though, I think they’re a worthwhile purchase.
