Bird's Custard Powder, 10.6-Ounce Canisters (Pack of 6)

I love this stuff and have used it for years! My European friends put me on to Bird’s when I was making my first trifle. The consistency is thin @ first but pours easily making it more simple to place in molds and it is great in trifle. You add your own sweetener or sugar to taste which makes it nicer for those on diet restrictions.

I've been using this product for decades. It is so versatile and can be applied to so many dessert situations that it should be a staple in every kitchen.As a thin sauce for fruits, for topping fruit crumbles, bread puddings, etc., to thick "set" puddings "flavored" with cocoa, or chai mix, or with liquors, for those who can tolerate them, it makes a perfect custard.Prepared as a thicker custard as a filling in cakes, tarts, etc., it makes these so easy anyone can produce something that looks difficult, on the person in the kitchen will know the "secret" comes in this bright red, yellow and blue carton.The fact that it can be prepared in the microwave is a huge plus when one has several things going at once and no available stovetop burner.I recommend it without reservation.

I wanted an easy, delicious custard mix and this is it. The first order was destroyed in shipping with powder all over everything, so at the advice of the Fed Ex person, I simply refused it. Because the order contained something else unrelated,Amazon had a hard time figuring that part of the equation. I am not sure it is resolved yet because I keep getting emails about paying for that one again.Order only the custard mix in one order and you'll be ok. The second order took a long time to arrive,but it is delcious and tastes close to homemade without the drudgery.

The product is great; however, the seller forgot to mentioned that his product will expired within three weeks. Do not use this seller - beware!

Comes in short cubby containers.A must have for making genuineE Nanaimo Bars as well as many other things.I have used in oriental savory dishes as well.Been using it for over 60 years.My Mum used it as well.See frequently in English cooking.It is priced very well!

Nice to make a quick cooked custard with, I use Half&Half when making - Yum.

This is an interesting mix that provides a dish that can almost pass for egg custard though it's totally egg-free. It may be close to blanc mange except it isn't "blanc" but creamy yellow. By adjusting the recipe it can be anything from a firm-set pudding to a delightfully smooth boiled custard sauce.

Very tasty; easy to use with milk powder etc to make custard! This will kick up your pastry up another level!!
