SNARK Acoustic Guitar Tuning Key (GP1)

I have been playing guitar since I was 10 years old and have worked with various types of tuners. Recently I have been using a software one from my computer, as I was quite disappointed from the last electronic one I had bought (it was a Korg, if I remember correctly).I got this one to get free shipping on an order, but I did look into it before I bought it. And guess what? It's the best guitar tuner I have seen so far. Not only does it provide an accurate estimation of every string's tone, but it also provides you with sample tones of all the strings, as well as all the chords you can imagine, in simple tablature notation. The device is extremely easy to use (I'm surprised that it came with instructions) and makes the guitar tuning a very easy and quite fast process.I would highly recommend this produce to any guitar player, regardless of their level.PS - the device requires 2 AAA batteries, which are included when you buy it.

Keep in mind, for the price, you can't expect too much. However, it's a handy little tool that works rather well. It is obviously intended for beginners being that experienced musicians should know their chords. The tuner function is accurate & has a digital needle to allow up & down tuning which I find to be handy. The chord function will prove itself quite valuable for the beginner and takes up way less room than a chord book. It is also a great tool to use if you are learning how to transpose chords. Eventually, by studying the fingering patterns, You should be able to excel in your theory studies. If used right, you may find it to be a valuable learning/teaching tool. It comes with enough information to keep you playing for a long time. There are many bands that never play more than 5 chords their whole careers. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I find the pitch function to be a bit more annoying than useful. But that shouldn't stop you from ordering it. Between the chord function and tuner you get more than your money's worth. It feels cheap but for the price you can't go wrong. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone from beginner on up. Once you've learned all your chords the tuner & pitch function (though annoying) will still be useful. I wish I had one when I started learning.

It did its job, especially ahead of gigs.

Well... the tuner is nice, and the chord finder is pretty neat but the guys who I ordered from did not include this tuner and had me wait a very long time. I tried to call the store but nobody answered, and when they did they said they would call me back and didn't. Then I had to prove that I bought it and I had to prove that they didn't send it to me. I waited weeks for this. Austin Bazzar is ok. Good prices, crappy customer service and hopefully I won't need to shop with them any more.

Tuner works great and couldn't be happier. Really easy to use and easy to read. It is awesome for the price as well as it comes with a cord finder and a tone option where you can tune it manually by ear. Only thing I can say bad about it was it took a week later than it was suppose to, to get to my house which is more or less a problem with the shipping than the product.

This is a decent little product and well worth the price. It combines a basic tuner ( standard guitar tuning only) with a handy chord finder. This is great for beginners or just to have around when you need to locate that occasional odd chord. It wil show you Major, Minor,dim,aug,sus,6th,6 add 9,7,M7,9,11 and 13. So it pretty much gives you any chord you might need. It is not overly large, which is good as it easilly fits in your pocket or guitar case. The tuner has a input to hook up your electric or acoustic guitar to tune. You can also tune acoustic through the built in mike, though it may not pick up as well. It is relatively sturdy for plastic. The only pitfall is it's inability to tune other than standard tuning, but it's doubtful anyone buying this would even know alternate tunings for guitar anyway. Overall I would reccomend this, especially if you are new to playing and don't want to carry a chord book around with you.

This item is still in use. Makes a big difference to play in tune. However, I did find to be fairly accurate. In other words, it is not spot on as verified by a much more expensive unit. It gets you close like 97% of the way there, you only have a small % to correct. Pretty good for the price. The other functions like the chord chart would be good for a newbie. It does have another function that is not spelled out. You can plug your guitar cord in to the unit! Great for tuning up before the show....just make sure you check the tune! It is even O.K. for not using a cord and just setting on the amp where it can hear and it will get you pretty close! Not bad for the money!Hope this helps someone!
